. Paulo Nagamura (Los Angeles Galaxy)
2. Danny O'Rourke (New York Red Bulls)
3. Jose Cancela (New England Revolution)
4. Adrian Serioux (Houston Dynamo)
5. Nate Jaqua (Chicago Fire)
6. Rod Dyachenko (D.C. United)
7. Jason Kreis (Real Salt Lake)
8. Tim Regan (Chivas USA)
9. Ritchie Kotschau (Columbus Crew)
10. Will Hesmer (Kansas City Wizards) )
Here are my thoughts on these players:
Serioux - athletic, technically and tactically sound player
Cancela - crafty midfielder who didn't really fit into Steve Nicol's system but could blossom at Toronto FC, depending on what style of play the team adopts
Jaqua - if Toronto FC can convince him to stay in MLS and sign him (for a reasonable salary - $100k-130k) this would turn out to be a good pick
Regan - great pick; very low salary yet a solid defender; Bob Bradley got more out of him at Chivas USA than anyone expected, let's see if he can keep it up
Nagamura - decent defensive midfielder with good skill on the ball
Kotschau - one of the better left backs in MLS, although that doesn't say much
Kreis - past his prime and not really worth the price tag, but could bring some veteran leadership to the team
O'Rourke - had a painfully mediocre season with Red Bull NY; hasn't lived up to the hype about him coming out of college, but still has time to turn it around; Mo Johnston seems to like him, when he was at NY he traded Serioux to get him (which, in retrospect, was a boneheaded move)
Hesmer - never seen him play, but should be a good back-up goalkeeper
