AP21.............here is what I just posted in Fidel's thread, I feel the same as FifaMonkey2012, you guys (I don't want to split you and Fidel, you have both done similarly spectacular gameplay already in your first mods for FIFA 14):--

''Fidel, and AndreaPirlo21, have got this game on track (if only EA could/would use these guys parameters for a next patch...), and resolved, for me, so much of the gameplay issues that have stiffened the game so much since the official v1.2 patch was released.

Oh, and the only problem I have with the game now is still my original pre-patch bugbear...........the AI attempts at either of the two Rainbow Flicks, always fails!!!!

I've described this in detail in other threads and also in conversational PM's to a bloke on EA's Official Forum, but to no avail with EA, you just know they wont fix it.

Thank you dazzer169. Anything specific that you would like to point out which needs improvement? I have the players table for the MW version re-infused with preferred positions, workrates, and traits (all corresponding to the player types). Still needs testing and a few more ideas.

Unfortunately I haven't witnessed this yet, but it must be a bug in the exe... When the next version comes, I will send you a product/rna.ini for testing.

one more thing, sorry to keep on (!), but I'm glad to have encountered comments on here, great input, by Fifamonkey2012, he must be the other man in the whole world, like me, who likes to sit watching AI vs AI!!!!

Not to mention all the good work he is doing on the graphical mods, good on you mate

In my PM to EA I told the guy that I've taken the time to video most of the opccasion's I have witnessed the failed Rainbow's (seen 20 now, all failed the same way (none yet have worked), with a split of roughly 12 Simple Rainbow attempts to 8 Advanced Rainbow attempts).............but of course no reply to that from them............

Would love to get these videos compressed nicely to upload somewhere for you to see, although keep watching the AI when you play please, you should see it attempted once every 2 matches you play, it is a rolled up flick up at the back of the player and the ball, which on the final flick over the head (or side of the body in a high arc as per FIFA STREET on 360/PS3), doesn't do that as its meant to, it hits the side of the body each time for Simple Rainbow, and for Advanced Rainbow, the player misses by about an inch the final flick (which would normally, as per STREET, sent the ball over the head in an arc), and the ball just bounces to the ground and away. Frustrating to watch!!

If I see it, I'll try to surmise what is causing it.

Sorry I didn't explain before I was using moddingway default DB version (career reasons). with my feedback. Teams were Bristol league 1 ref small pass (it wasnt loads but look out for it was all).

To expand I tried the full moddingway 2.0 DB and cli.ini and the experience I had was a little different. Again tested in all varouse modes hi stats/mid stats ... I dont think I quite liked this one as much, thing I spotted.

- CB's when with the ball to pass up would just punt it right at a marking striker
- players defending would seem to "flock" in a bunch more to a player and I saw a few players bumping each other
- More attack crossing
- CB being passed ball via GK had striker on him (strikers seem to be pressuring from the get go all the time) so he did some one the ball standing tricks and lost it right in goal for striker to pick up
- Passes seemed a little silly in places
- Mids, some of them had that "hog the ball" moment where a pass lane was obvious only to fumble it (13 style modded).
- Overall a little more attacking.
- Playing as play all and having ball as a defender was annoying as strikers were just pressuring all the time
- Strikers would only sometimes take a shot at goal in really silly distance.

Now ... that could be my sliders in places and high marking sliders pass error being more active based on how this version is set so I might test it again on defaults.

Having said that so far I much prefer default DB play and if the internet crashed forever I would stick with that all year TBH, so if you had that with just stamina changes and ref carding additions I would be a happy camper.

If you tell me they are both the same DB's all bar the moddingway edits then I will cry becuase to me they both feel and played different, did I suffer from placebo syndrome and mass EA engine strangeness?
 
The moddingway version is different because I had to adapt it. I actually focused more on lowering AI pass accuracy to real life levels (more mistakes), plus increasing defensive aggression. I know you don't play against the AI much, but the swarm defense is the one way to keep a user from just pace abusing/conversion to the old linear way of playing fifa, also I thought it would add a few fouls. I will say I forgot to include some elements in the MW version, which will be added today. These elements tone down on longpassing and hasty buildup. Everyone has different tastes, so I hope they are satisfied by either one.

Yes its not critic more just a brain dump of feedback as I saw it. I did play user V AI in both situation (no bias on testing) and be a pro and I suppose I do gravitate toward the default DB version in all them.

If I had any input I would say for those that play AI/Pro style then maybe have that version take that path and the full moddingway DB2 is deff for those on play "all" only. Its your baby and that's just my small input if its any help, deff not criticising it if it does read that way at all, all styled for all folks :)

I would say the passing mistake part seems a bit forced in DB2 version as I was confused about some play and CB's punting right at attacker was the most obvious (even if its AI giving it away to you as play all). Maybe not as much and rely more on people setting pass error slider?

Then again I guess you can count on my feedback becuase I seem to have spotted everything you were trying to do, so that was a good test for me too :) Would have been slightly shameful if you said "both are the same" .. hehe.

ON a final note if you do more updates, it would be cool if you can list specific changes "more defence aggression" "passing more" and so on change log style to get a good handle on what to be looking for and feedback about, teaching to suck eggs here but thought I would mention it.

At least I can finally show you now on these videos what I mean. The exact same thing happens each and every time and its been all 5 star skill players doing this, Ibra, Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar etc, all of them.

Probably an .exe issue, but something just tells me somewhere in those many parameters in the CL.INI and/or RNA.INI is a setting that would help.

By the way, what IS the difference between the two ini files, I notice your mods use the RNA.INi, and Fidel uses the CL.INI ?? I did read that RNA.INI needs to be regenerated and not the CL.INI, but they contain largely the same parameter statements?

What value I have to change in the rna.txt file to make it open with spanish by default?

Remove all lines above "immersion gameplay next gen". It's been answered already a few pages back.

cl.ini doesn't need regeneration, but I started with an rna.ini this year, so I was too lazy to change it. Next version comes with a product file. Also not sure rna files need regeneration either.

Without patch is better. You'll see a wider variety of actions.

For me the AI pass accuracy is perfect at around 80 percent. I'll tone down on marking and aggression. The cb always punts it up when a team has high ccpassing, just more or less. I can include a chanelog from now on.

your rna.ini mixed with the un-updated FIFA14 is a pleasure to play. The cpu plays so much more human. I have not used your DB yet as i don't like tinkering with player stats. But still a briliant play. One small concern the cpu are a little too direct.

Thanks, RockyJJP. If the AI is too direct with longpasses, I will fix that in the next update.
