its not ineffective at all. I could actually say that absolutely ALL the 'reported this post to a moderator' reports in the fifa forums (which bream, herc, ahmed and I receive) have been worked and we've taken action one way or another.
last month we had a problem applying the cards but we've caught up with those and now we're u to date with all the carding and uncarding.

totally agree! its the same every year! but this year its way worst becouse of the pes coming for pc, so we got critics, mixed feelings about the games, fan boys from both sides...but i think this forum still rocks and i´m glad we disagree and discuss.... that is what make a forum.

Oh please, like every opportunity you get you don't offend somebody who has a difference of opinion to you. I've had insults from you before even when I've tried to be objective about things and as for insulting your country, you and the rest of your hypocrites insult the USA every other freaking day but as sonn as somebody suggests Portugal might not be the world's strongest soccer team you whine like a little girl and say your nationality's being offended.

95% of the swearing and abuse comes from FIFA fans. I've tried to be constructive and objective and all it gets met with is "f*** off yank" or some similar really verbally mature reaction. I've played FIFA every years since it came out and bought it every year and have a perfect right to talk about what I like and don't like about the game. Just because I have a difference of opinion on some points doesn't mean somebody can say "f*** off to the PES forums" and rely on that as a valid argument. So what if I like PES, I've supported EA for years in buying their products.

When you quit being a dang hypocrit and quit the insults yourself then others might be more inclined to respect you. If you ban everybody on the FIFA forums who swears and insults people you'll end up with about 5 FIFA fans and 20 PES fans.

I have constantly said that people who come on the FIFA forums to say "FIFA sucks" or call people names for preferring FIFA are wrong and shouldn't come in here doing that. The problem is that soon as somebody even mentions a valid criticism of FIFA (such as the forgetting to put in replay saves, controller configuration, etc.), within ten minutes they're told to "f*** off" by ten teenage FIFA fans. Even people who are FIFA fans and have never played PES come to the same abuse by some people on here if they dare criticize the game.

So, the bottom line, do unto others as you have them do to you. Otherwise quit whining like a spanked baby about being offended when you go out of your way to be bigotted, insulting and hypocritical.

It's a simple method you don't seem to understand.

ANYWAY, if you do want to know what happened. Basically someone had a thread to request lineups, and someone asked for the Benfica linup, quite politely I might add. And although he did make a mistake in not searching, there was simply no excuse for then not just acting like he was actually the one posting lineups, but also no excuse for him saying "you chops," in a sentence I'd rather not even actually repeat and unfortunately this isn't the first time he's said some blatant racist comment.

Also Tristan, just because I tell YOU to go **** off after everone of your moans, doesn't mean I am telling all Americans to go **** off. Just wanted to clear your interpretation of that.

TristanAbbott7 - I disagree with everything you just said. I'd say 95% of the people swearing are PES fans, coming in here and simply flaming the FIFA forum. I KNOW there are a few who do try to be constructive but the vast majority aren't.

And also some of what you say sounds like just trying to make up excuses for the PES fanboys - so they come here, with the intent to make the game better? Yea right, just why do most of us get the impression that they're bashing it 99% of the time? They even create their own "FIFA SUCKS" topics, which are more than half of the topics in the forum at the moment, in which the only ones who discuss how much it does suck are other PES fanboys/Fifa haters. It's all just too obvious for you to be able to defend their behavior no matter how much you try.

Finally, the only reasons why any fifa fan would find it neccessary to swear or use offensive language is when faced with utter stupidity and flaming, and sees that there is no other option available, because some people just don't get reasonable language. Constructive criticism has always been welcome, but there's a fine line between that and flaming.

Another thing, while you're on your quest remember that you can only look back as far as 2 days since I say it "Every other day" according you. You my friend have a problem with something called reality, get in touch with it. And also I don't think a majority of your "Decent criticisms" in the past have gone without some sort of pun, and/or lame attempt at sarcasm.

BTW: The comment I was inferring to had nothing to do with my national team. **** I ****in admit that we suck, you happy? I've admitted it before, very recently as well.

Hugo, The Potuguese national team doesn't suck though - they may underperform at times but then who doesn't!

As for you Cozmo, have I not said a multitude of times that I think people who come to these forums and say "FIFA suckz" etc. are lame too? I think they should keep out also if that's all they contribute. Yes, I do use sarcasm a lot but so what? Would you rather I just used the f-word all the time like other people because that's all so mature? I have no excuse for people who come in, just insult the game with one-liners and leave. No point to it, it's annoying for everybody.

If you actually read many of my posts rather than just picking out bits from ones here and there you'd see (like in the "what's wrong with FIFA 2004" thread) that I do have good things to say about the game and I think EA, if they build upon FIFA 2004 rather than take things away can make a great game next year.

The fact I prefer PES justifies to you that everything I say must therefore be filled with hatred towards EA and the FIFA series. Shame, becasue other than this years title to date, I've bought every FIFA every year along with many other EA titles so if I hate EA, I'd like to see how much money they make from people who love them!

Cozmo, there is no excuse for anybody to tell somebody else to f*** off. It shows a lack of intelligence to either come up with a reply or a overwhelming inability to use the ignore feature. People like you don't facilitate discussion only agreement with your point of view. Any other point of view in your eyes is lame and unworthy of consideration. You show me a post where you've ever disagreed with somebody politely or accepted a different point of view to your own with respect.

How are you going to tell me the Portuguese national team doesn't suck? Our coach thinks he's gonna pull it off because he won the WC, he's still calling up 30 your old bums to the NT, he LOST 3-0 against Spain, and Spain haven't even qualified for Euro 2004 yet, the team right now is a disgrace, the school team I play for at the mo' has played better then them.

Also-I'm glad you didn't oppose the other things I said, or else I would've started a friggen book!;) :p

Tristan - again you're avoiding the point. As much as i would like to keep the argument going, i don't have time for this. My post wasn't about YOU making excuses for yourself - it was about you making excuses for the general PES3 fanboy population.

So to me your reply was totally pointless. I wasn't attacking your presence here, i was questioning others'. But i guess YOU weren't "intelligent" enough to realise that or tried to change the subject. Either way, i think i have full right to say that the people who flame the forum with the "fifa sux" stuff should "f*** off" as there is another forum for that and this one has a different purpose.

Next time actually think before you reply.

This isn't necessarily true.

I've seen many examples where long-time members, with thousands of posts, have acted inappropriately on these boards, yet nothing is done.

I think alot of who gets yellow-, red- carded depends on who the individual is or if they are friendly with the moderators.

But I do agree with the originator - something needs to be done to clean up the abusive and inappropriate behavior, and to do it in a fair manner.
