Monitor problem

Since yesterday my monitor has stopped showing all reds. So instead of being red all the red pixels are just black. Its a 15" CRT btw, about 4 years old. Is it possible to get it repaired & if it is, should I go ahead or just get a new 1?

i have the same problem on my 8 years old 12" CRT monitor probably the electro-beam gun faulty and it is not worth to send it to get repair. i reckon you should get a new 1

sometimes i'll just smash it at the side when i get too frustrated, then it will works properly for a period (H)

I once had a monitor that had images with light green pixels. I slammed the monitor until it returned to normal. But it was soon immune and I had to get a new monitor.
