I just uploaded a new most realistic gameplay- Patch which can be tweaked and tuned by anybody with any texteditor


This Patch was created to improve most realistic gameplay for Fifa2002.
Goodbye balloonphysics, heres the real Football.

In addition this patch will bring more realistic carding, lifelike player fitness, better CPU and several other enabled features. Professional and Worldclassmode are much harder than before !


You can change all values for ballphysics, AI and even Cameras !!!
Its only 25kB small.

this patch is just Great!!!!!!!
really ,it adds a lot of realism, i've installed it ,yet my ini big was the one made by dragan , and it's really great the game reads from the 2 (ini.big , soccer. ini),so there is a better game play now ,forget to say also that i worked on the stamina and fatigue and not to forget the smooth blip multiplier thing and now the players get tired like in real life it's simply is great , i will recommend this to everyone who wants to engoy good fifa 2002 game play , it 's great guys!

the fatigue options are opimized for 6-8 minutes Matches.
Only players that would run most of the time will be tired, which is naturally of course

maybe you have a tweaked ini.big in your cmn-folder that affects the shooting-options, but YES I can BOMB the ball into the upper right corner of the goal from 30 yards with a good player, free range and a nice powerup

be sure to set crossing and passing to NORMAL which is most realistic and allows you to flip the ball over your opponent and get it again (if you are fast enough )

btw. there is an update available with increased player aggressivity and better defense intelligence ! Its AWESOME !

AUTOSEEK is a powerfull options to tweak the gameplay, I turned it on because its big increase in skill level if you have to reach the ball manually all the time, but for real professionals its a nice tune-up to disable this one

Have you ever seen the CPU being carded before ???
I have

After increasing aggression again, the CPU made 2 aggressive tackles by the same nasty defender in the match, he received a red one immediately

That's encouraging stuff about CPU fouls. I downloaded your file and saw that it had aggression at 6.0 -- did you turn it up even higher than that? I'll try this out when I get home.

anyway ,i will recommend this second update for everyone here who wants to play real football.
but will this update keep functioning with ea update that is supposed to be coming out ?

Well I've tried increasing the aggressiveness to 12 and I still am lucky to get the CPU to foul me once in a match. Maybe there is another setting that affects this.

The ballooning of the ball is fixed somewhat, but I still think lobs are hanging up in the air too long, and they also don't have enough velocity.

If the ball can be speeded up a bit on crosses and made to come down a little quicker, that would improve things even more....

Nice efforts so far though!

Guess what?!? CPU fouls!!!

I increased the aggressiveness value to 25 and in a game with 8 minute halves, I got the CPU to foul me 6 times, and it was booked 3 times!

Progress indeed.

Increasing aggressivity up to 25 sounds weird man, be carefull the players dont beat up the referee

Normally there are only 7 levels (0-6), but I think I have to scheck this out, would be great if this will work !

This new gameplay is so cool it keeps me from editing other stuff

How do you know there are only seven levels? Where do you learn that?

I couldn't get it to do anything at 6. I just started using higher and higher numbers until I noticed a diffference.

What I must change for increasing the tired for players and the agressiveness of computer in the ini ?
Is anyone has try to edit and change the ugly light factor in night match in the ini , if yes , what I must edit in it ?

i just got a question - when i tried to edit ini.big myself, the game crashed - although your patch worked fine for me

it loaded up, and i started a friendly , but after the loading screen it threw me back in windows

am i supposed to do something to soccer.ini also??

can anyone help me out?

I think the patch is great!!

I have two questions, though.

1. Which aggresiveness category do I change to try to make the CPU more aggresive?

2. Is there any way I can give my keeper a little more muscle? He only seems to kick the ball about 30 yards on goal kicks. A realistic kick from the keeper should get to midfield, shouldn't it?

I figured out how to kick the ball farther on my goal kicks. I was using the "quick pass" buttons, instead of powering up the kick.

This patch is the greatest thing I've ever seen in my whole life!

It rocks man, it really does!!!! only a pair of changes have to be done to the ball phisics. People talk so much about ISS, could somebody try and make the ball like the ISS ball? I remember that sometime ago somebody did it for fifa 2001, and I've actually got the aimain.ini in question. Now, would anybody like to try and customize things with a little help from my file? If yes, I'll be glad to send it to you.
Finally the players do tire, and for the first time I've seen the Fifa assistant. Yeah. Oh, do you remember fifa 99? The computer made subs. Why the hell is there an assistant, if the computer doesn't make subs? Is there some way to change this? Maybe by copying files from fifa 99?
For the unlucky guy who had problems with his ini.big. I had the same problem as you: I couldn't install any gameplay patches, and any time the file was altered, the game crashed. The same with fifa02. My solution is: delete your ini.big from your computer. The game doesn't need it, it's allready on your cd. Install the new patch and enjoy gameplay. Unfortunately I don't have any solution for the rosters update, and if anybody else has, I would be glad to listen. Bye
