Most Underrated (or Overrated) Team?

They(EA) rated all the lower division or not big leagues very poorly... Thats why EA pretty suck at ratings and stuff...

I find it interesting how they put in so many teams, like the Dutch division, and England division 1,2,3 but they didn't include all of the international teams.

They even left out Holland! And Holland is ranked fourth right now, and are a killer team.

As for underrated, I find that they underrated every team which didn't include bigshots. The well known teams all have amazing guys, but every other team just sucks.

Being neither American, Australian, Senegalese or whatever, and as a fan of football... I think the US team is definitely better than Australia and Senegal.
my 2 cents... haven't got time to elaborate on that.

In any case, no hard feelings. But do you want to cry about it or defend a point you made?

As for absurd accusations... Unless stating that Canada beat the US in Olympic Hockey for the gold is absurd, I don't recall "accusing" you of anything else.

I have a question. An honest question, not a veiled question, a simple question.

How many games a week do the players in the MLS play? I don't follow the MLS too closely, so I am not up to date on what types of tournements and such they participate in.

Thanks.

Canada beating the US at the Olympics has nothing to do with soccer, man. It was that blasted Joe Sakic.

MLS players play one, at most two, games a week. Saturdays are generally considered "game days", altough there are some midweek games throughout the season.

The MLS season is 30 games, spanning from April to the end of Novemember. Tomorrow is the MLS Cup final.

In addition, MLS teams particiapate in the US Open Cup, the second-longest continuous tournament in the world. The tourney - similar to the FA Cup - pits MLS sides against lower divisions and even amateur sides, from time to time.

Also, two MLS teams will particiapate in next year's version of the CONCACAF Champions Cup. This year, four particiapated, playing the games prior to the season.

Two teams were also invited for a preseason tournament, La Manga, in Spain, and the Galaxy joined European sides in the World Peace Cup this summer in Korea, showing well.

FC PORTO is for sure the most underrated team... 3,5 stars? Ridiculous, we won the UEFA CUP, the Portuguese Superleague, the Portuguese Cup, the Portuguese SuperCup and we lost unfairly the European Supercup. EA should look more to European Soccer, they only care by team names, no matter how the team are they always give great ratings to the "BIG" European Clubs... It's a shame. FC PORTO should have at least 4 stars, and if you see the ratings of the players it's laughable. Paulo Ferreira one of the best RB of Europe, R. Carvalho wanted by Real Madrid, Deco also wanted by Barcelona have stupid ratings. :kader:

Hmm i think 3.5 out of 5 is just right for Porto... if they had 4 or more stars then they would be among the best in the world which i don't think they are. and with all due respect, winning the UEFA cup still means that you're behind all other teams who played in the Champions League.

you might be right about the players ratings though.. EA always get them screwed up.

If Australia is so freakin' awesome, don't you think FIFA would give Oceania ONE automatic place in the World Cup, perhaps?
==============================================

One answer - money. The US gets the soft route into the World Cup finals because FIFA is hoping to build the game there and tap one of the biggest markets in the world.

Australia is small fry....FIFA don't do them special favours so they make the finals. They are a good honest team. But soccer is still a minor sport in Oz, way behind Australian Rules football, Rugby Union and Rugby League.

UxSxAxfooty - as for the US beating Wales 2-0, big woop, we beat England 3-1 in February this year. Not saying we are better than England, but we do have some real class. Just not the same financial clout as the US, and money talks at FIFA.

well what EA should have done is add up all the players ratings and then divide that by the amount of players on the team. This would have made more sense. And when the CC comes out and people edit player ratings, the overall team rating should go up or down depending on the way you change the ratings like in NBA Live 2003.

They could have even broken the ratings down to forwards midfielders, defenders, goalkeepers and bench so that you can see more variety among the teams.

so for a team like Real Madrid

GK = 86
Defenders = 84
Midfielders = 99
Forwards = 98
Bench = 81
Overall = 89.6 rating

FIFA makes no money from the US making it to the World Cup. The CONCACAF President, Carlos Warner, represents Trinidad and Tobago, and has little to no interest in US soccer. There is no monetary interest for FIFA.

Plus, we've qualified for the last 4 FIFA World Cups without the extra spot! Why the crap will it help us? If anything, it gives a nation like, say Trinidad and Tobago or Jamaica, a chance to make it, not the United States.

Face it, Oceania lost the spot because they suck.

If Australia was so much better, they might be able to prove it on the pitch. Too bad we missed you at the Confeds Cup this summer...

And as minor as soccer may be in Australia, its still bigger than it is in America. MLS competes for market share with American Football, Basketball, Baseball, Ice Hockey and College sports. So, what's your point?

My point in citing our victory over Wales was an example of the US fielding a reserve roster and still winning.

I certainly wouldn't brag about beating Wales...

team rating of fifa suck bigtime. They get lazier every year. I remember that previous fifas, was it 98? had rating like defence, attack, speed etc... for each team.
Now we have some silly stars which say noting actually.. What does 3 stars mean? what does 5 stars mean?? 5 stars mean they are good? but in what for f*cks sake, good in sucking dick maybe??!:f***:

Oceania as a whole suck that is correct - there is no depth at all, for that reason Australia should be able to qualify for the WC finals through Asia rather than via South America

and if you think the US doesn't get it on a platter because of $$$ you are kidding yourself

why did the US host the WC finals a few years ago?

Australia v US???

Bring it on baby, Kewell will cut your defence to ribbons

Who in US Soccer is paying FIFA's bills?

The same people paying the players less than $100,000 a year?

There is no money in American soccer.

The 1994 World Cup here was the most well attended World Cup in history. There's interest in America. There's stadia in America. There's safety in America. And there's money to be made.

the money may not be there now but FIFA will bend over backward to nurture the game in the hope that the $ come later

whatever, disagree if you will but Australia is better than the worst team to make the finals but is never there because of the tortuous route they must take to the finals

I'm not too fussed, prefer Aussie rules anyway, but the Socceroos would give a good account of themselves if they qualified

Yeah, playing American Somoa must be hard to get to the finals.

Look FIFA giving a half spot to CONCACAF and removing Oceania's does not help the United States.

The US has qualified for the last 4 World Cups!

How is an extra spot going get us in? We don't have a problem qualifying!

I know this doesn't have to do with football but...

You ought to win the Olympics, idiot, you invented the sport! I can't quite see how you can seriously have so much pride in hockey, though, when all of the Canadian franchises keep going bankrupt and moving to the States. For being so damned good, you'd think you could keep a quarter of the teams in Canada, eh?

The reason for the Canadian teams not having money, is they have to pay their players in US dollars but only bring in Canadian money from tickets and other things. Its not like the games are not being sold out or anything. In Edmonton even though they aren’t the greatest team they still sell out most of their games.

If this was already said sorry didn't read every single post.

qualifying top of Oceania does not qualify Australia for the World Cup educate yourself
