The buzz around Joaquin was bigger last year, he hasn't been the same this season. He was substituted in todays draw w/ Madrid. (injury? I honestly don't know) (H)

Podolski is my pick.

Torres is overrated and Joaquin is inconsistant.

thetrooper37 : Becks? Really the only club I heard that was interested was Arsenal but I think they decliend that interest.

TBH Im not sure who will be the most popular, it could be Torres/Joaquin but I doubt it.

Podolski isn't really the biggest of targets... and I'm surprised no one's mentioned Ballack yet. also Ronaldo ( :rolleyes: ) is a big one

The methodology behind Torres is: yes he may be overrated, but whoever needs a young, big, fast striker will be in for him. He has already been linked to Newcastle, Chelsea, Barca and Milan, and the simple fact is that all signs are pointing to an exit this summer from the Calderon at any cost.

Personally, im sad to see a player, even of his calibre, move from a boyhood club.

Anyway, if Ballack and Henry move, their destinations are pretty much written in stone by now. They wont be wanted, because I doubt other teams will be able to make it happen.

Forgot about Mohammadou Diarra; I think he is going to be a Manc by september

Im Madrid are smart, rather, if their new Prez is smart, they would make a dedicated DM figure like Diarra a priority, and let nobody outbid them. They need to flush holdovers like Zidane and Gravesen and wasters like Ronaldo out the back door and go young. I also think they should replace Ronaldo with Reyes to provide Spanish blood and versatility, but thats another matter. I bet if Henry splits for Barca, Reyes would assent to that move within hours

Speaking of Madrid, or what they should get, im curious as to who people think the most targeted defender will be of the summer window. I guess the world cup will be spelling all that out, but Lugano? Milito? (has he already agreed to move to Anfield?)
