Does anyone know what is MSSOAP and what it does? I seem to have deleted it by mistake, the thing is I don't know if it was on my computer already, or if it was installed ysterday when i installed some kodak software. Any information is appreciated.:)

oh, and i know this is a bit off topic but does anyone have any clue why my .dat files have all changed their icon to the notepad icon? I'm sure it is not a virus because i scanned for it, and my computer is acting normal as always.

"SOAP enables you to encode complex data such as objects or procedure call parameters into an xml string (called a "SOAP Packet"). Because SOAP uses XML, it is not dependent on any particular language or operating system. SOAP packets can be stored in a database, posted in an email or a message queue or transmitted via HTTP. The most common use for SOAP is likely to be remote procedure calls implemented with SOAP transmitted over HTTP."

Quoted from a Delphi info page... I don't know crap about it, but it's something some programs need to access databases. It's quite possible your Kodak software used it, but it's no longer supported by Microsoft (replaced by the .NET framework), so it would be quite old in software terms.

You might find that some other program will not work anymore though...
