multiplayer options???

i dont see anything in here about taking part in season play or tournaments in multiplayer... is that correct?

I know that EA offers their EA Online... but i dont plan on paying monthly to play a soccer game.

anyway, me and my friend play soccer via IP addresses and are wondering if there are any season options for us to take part in?
