hi,

i have a comp with an AMD Sempron 2200+ processor, asus a7n8x-vm/400 m'board with 512 mb ram, nvidia fx 5200 card (128 mb ram), audigy soundcard on XP pro (service pack 2)

i went and bought fifa 2005 the other day... but the game just won't run properly.

i installed the game using the full install option. however all my attempts to get through even a single game have gone down the drain.

the sound suddenly goes off completely (this includes bgm in the menu screens and all ambient sounds, commentary, etc. during the game).

also, after loading up, the game tends to freeze even in the menu screens. if at all, i manage to get to the kick off stage in a match, the computer invariably reboots!!! :f***:

i've checked the minimum and recommended system specs on the site. i reckon my comp is fairly equipped to handle the game, but for some odd reason, it doesn't! hell, i even play Doom 3, Farcry and nfs underground2 on this same computer.

i ran the directx diagnostic tool and am pasting the summary here. if anyone has a solution, pls post it here... i'm eagerly waiting for some much-needed help.

oh, after reading about the omega nvidia drivers in the forum, i installed those, but to no avail. and yes, the game resembles a powerpoint presentation with the gfx settings set to medium... and is seemingly a cpl of frames faster with the same set to low.

thanks...

Since the computer invariably reboots,i think it's most likely a hardware problem, but it's hard to say what cause the problem since the directX test's are good.
it,s strange if the comp are running other games with no problem!
if no one here can help u i suggest u try post it in a data/support forum, maybe they can help u out!
;)
try the Nvida forums!
