My fifa wont start up, patch problem

ok i re-installed my fifa to play online, i downloaded all patches needed, then i got bored playing online (online play is poor) then i install all the patches i usually do, kits, sound etc


problem is my fifa now wont even start????? any help????

I take it that you didn't uninstall the EA patches, just added user created content on top?? If so, then that isn't going to work because you are changing FIFA.DB and the patches create a PC_CL.BIN file that makes reference to strings in FIFA.DB and will therefore cause the problems you are experiencing. Your most certain approach would be to uninstall the game, reinstall and then reapply the user 'patches' without applying the official patches.

However, humour me and try something which might work (and let's face it, it can't make things worse). Delete the PC_CL.BIN file, which you'll find in the same place as FIFA.DB - data\cmn under the Program Files directory, and your 'D. My Squads' from the FIFA 07 folder in My Documents and then try starting FIFA 07 again.

What happens when you try and start the game, does it just crash back to the desktop or do you get some error dialog(s)??

Have you checked yor fifa.fat, if it is bigger that 441 kb the game won´t even start.

Fifa 07 start up

I replaced the fifa.fat file on my hard drive with the one from the fifa 07 disc and that solved the problem.
