My thoughts after demo.

I won't be buying the current-gen version. I feel as though I've 'seen' it all before despite the obvious improvements and much more entertaining gameplay. I will however be buying the X360 next-gen version along with a wireless router so I can play online come November. That, I haven't seen before and the next-gen looks a game of its own.

So for that reason I will be playing FIFA this year, just not on my PC or Xbox, but the Xbox 360.

Who else will be waiting for next-gen this year??

I for one will certainly not buy FIFA 06 on the current gen consoles. I will not be buying the Xbox 360 either. I'll be waiting for the PS3, because by the time FIFA is released on the PS3, I will know whether it is worth purchasing or not.

I havent decided if I am going to buy this gen or not.

I will probably buy for the 360 and beat nick up and down the field often.

Well i'll be buying for current gen, but if I do decide to buy next gen it will be on the PS3 and that prob wont be for a year or so after the PS3 has been released. I have better things to waste my money on rather than a $300-$400 machine, but then again it all depends...

I've pondered about the curren-gen Fifa 06 as well, and I too will wait a few more months for the 360 version...it's time for something a little more fresh and realistic....had fun with the 06 demo though, nice improvements

That being said, does anyone know if RTWC will have clubs in it??? If it is like all the other Fifa RTWC's it should

Nobody can be 100% sure, but Ea at least has a track record of delivering a solid initial game for a new-gen system over the last decade or so...for ex. when you compare Fifa 2001 for PS2 comapered to PSX...or Fifa 96 on PSx compared to the Genesis or Snes. Obviously 07/08 will be much better after they have time to really get to know the 360/PS3.

I also have heard from gaming sites the the 360 version is being developed by a different team compared to the current-gen version, from Japan I believe.

I'm going to buy one too due to RTWC 06 feature. But, I'm thinking to wait for a few months whether the new XBOX360 consoles could have glitches on its hardware problems on their debut in North America alone. Surely, I'm for it later.

I may possibly wait a little while for a deal to come up, saying Xbox 360 + free game. There a going to be two deals on launch available. I know the expensive one comes with wireless controllers, hard drive, and some other cool stuff. But it'd be cool to get a free game aswell

I may just snap and have to buy one asap! The games look to incredible.

Fifa have a history of producing a half decent game with improvements, then taking them out the year after and producing a peice of sh**te for 2-3 years. So if this game is as good as it looks I'm afraid I'm sure history will repeat.

Graphics wise, yes. Gameplay wise, I think not or PES wouldnt have the gameplay it does. ISS Delux on SEGA Genesis had gameplay about as good as FIFA 2005 on PS2 and xbox, it just wasnt 3d.
