National Coach Voting

it'll be an open vote (again) between all 40 of you or something. Everyone will be have the same number of votes as the 10th place - 0.

I think someones gonna have to leave messages in the guestbook of people who are active telling them how to vote and where to go. It's not exactly obvious - I didn't even realise voting had opened until pip told me.

Yeah - it's crazy.

I just think MZ have completely rushed the whole thing, tbh. We desparately need national forums - for example, a Wales forum only Welsh managers can access - for discussing national players, tactics et al.

It's simply crazy to rely solely upon players placed on Chris' website, without being able to easily contact other managers it's chaos. I mean, you want to trawl for national players, you've got three options :-

(a) Post/mail every active manager ( and then, you need to know who is active, who isn't ).
(b) Look at every teams player values - and even then, you'll only know of domestic players.
(c) Post in the MZ forums, and hope somebody reads it.

As it stands, larger nations will do ok - even if they miss a few players, still have enough for a world class squad. Others, well, asI said, I don't expect us to do anything at all.

Fact is, smaller nations need to sell players. What's to stop Swedish managers buying quality players from smaller nation markets, where the price is lower, and simply refusing to all them to play in internationals?

That last point, refusing to allow players to play internationally, whilst it happens IRL, I just find aborant in an online game that relies upon community.

I think it's if you don't want them getting injured or something.

But I doubt you'll be allowed to pick and choose. It'll be a 'make your players available for national teams? Yes or No?' type thing hopefully. So if they want their domestic players available, they'll have to allow their foreigners to be available too.

That's the point though - your idea is a reasonable one, though I don't agree with it, because the corollary is that national manager should also then have the right to request club manager drop key players from games to prevent being injured for national games.

The problem is... we simply don't know, because Crew aren't telling us anything at this point in time. That's why the impression I get is that national teams are needed ( because Hattrick do it and have a vibrant sense of community around the World Cu, u20 World Cup etc ), but Crew are also rushing to get things done, and thus making implementation decisions on the fly.

Why vote for me?

Because when the game did not have a super tactic (the good old days) and relied on peoples tactical knowlege, I managed to get my team into the quarter finals, semi-finals and the final (losing narrowly to White Starz) of 3 successive offical cups and all whilst i was playing in div 5 and 4 of England.

Now when you consider that when the World Cup comes aroud the game would have hopefully got rid of the high defence tactic, I believe that I have proved that I have the tactical knowledge to get the best out of a bunch of players.

Give me a chance. Vote simonp_ccfc.

thanks. :)

Please tell me...in which round didn't MZ have a special "super tactic" everybody could play to win? I don't remember something like that in my 4-5 rounds of playing.

National Managers will have access to a screen similar to the transfer search screen.

All players will have the option to make them selectable for the National Team, the default will be set on No, so that inactive teams and currently banned teams will not be able to have their players in the squad.

As for the international thing, some decisions are being made, it may result in that you can select domestic players unavailable, but foreign players have to be selectable, which means all the Swedish Teams that have great foreign players may have no choice to not allow them play.

EDIT: Just to let you know, this is not at all set in stone, so dont neccessarily take my word for it. Its the plan so far, and us GA's are working with crew on ideas that could be implemented to make it better.

Ouch...Larry is a good manager Essendon. He has been in Managerzone since they started up the Aussie leagues so he ahs the experience. It's just unlucky he was drawn in a lower league.
