is there any way to play national teams quickly? (without playing 2 years in career mode) (for 03/04 by the way)

when you start a game.... at the choosing clubs stage....... go to chose club from list. then you find a club with a player of <insert country here> nationality, and click on that player. then at the top of the player screen, you click on the players nationality and that opens that countrys screen.... you click on take control and you're manager ;)

well, in my game (season 03/04),
I go
1) New Game

2) Tells me that I have to chose a country (so I chose lets say Argentina). Then at the right of that, it tells me to chose what division. When I chose Division 1, the next screen pops up.

3) It then asks me to create my profile where it asks me MY nationality.

After that, I saw nothing of player's nationality or anything even close to being a coach national team selection.
sorry for the bother, but im pretty lost here.

when u choose a team, from lets say argentina, click on a player on that team, and you will see his nationality in the top below his name. click on his nationality and you will get his national team. :)

thanks man.
1 thing though. I found all that u said and clicked on a the national team below the name. thing is that it sent me just to the "argentina" page and just has info about the team but no control at all.
Just Fixtures, Staff info, Results, WC Qualifyer table ect.

when i click "Continue game", it goes back to the domestic league.
So, do you know exactly where this "take control" button is?

thanks again eh? apreciate the help

never mind ** top post.

I figured it out. See.....it turns out that you can ONLY be the coach of the national team if your coaching in the actual domestic league.

(IE: I can coach Argentina if Im coaching River Plate)

Only when picking Argentinian players will the "Take control" sign pop up.

But Im trying to Control Uruguay.....but theres no Uruguayan league. So how am I suposed to coach the team? anybody know?

GAH! (new internet word i found)

I've got CM4.... but i guess its the same...

If you Manager Profile screen.... Go to "Nations and Clubs" and then pick "South America" then pick Uruguay..... then click "Take Control"

... or just find a Uruguayan player in the league...

Personally i find coaching national teams boring with all the gaps in between matches....

So i'd put on 2 Managers (1 club as normal, 1 alter-ego national team manager)..... it might take longer though... so a small database is the way to go.

or just have yourself firstly as a club manager, then try and get a job as a national manager. :p
