NBA 2004/2005 Playoffs Thread

Houston will not win it all, but they are getting very close. They need a better playmaker at the point, which they could take care of in the draft with the plethora of great point guards available. SG is also not great either which could get taken care of within a year or two. This is when the Rockets will be the best team in the League.

Man, the Celtics are acting like absolute ****s today and the refs let them get away with it.

Whole frontline should have been ejected, really. Uncalled intentional fouls on O'Neal galore.

Edit: Cry Me A Rivers got a technical. (H)

Edit 2: There goes 'Toine... (H)

what a game by the nets... they deserved to win i believe. even though the heat are a better team, they got lucky. NJ missed every damn 3 they took, and their coach was too stupid to realize that they should have drove right at shaq since he had 5 fouls all the way through both overtimes. so many wide open 3s were missed that i believe the heat got lucky. new jersey did too on that carter bounce - that was a real crazy shot.

and their free throws were horrible last night too shooting 0.667 from the line :kader:
if they had made those shots and those 3's they would've owned the Heat last night... but would still not make it past the 1st round though... the Heat are too good for them

IF IF IF IF IF IF

IF is a nice word, you guys are just saying IF, they didn't make the shots. That isn't been lucky, that's incompetency by NJ.

Stop saying IF, at the end MIAMI yes... the Heat won the game, because they made their shots and defend. Oh and because Shaq could made his FT. :read: :brow:

Kidd had a triple-double and Carter was one assist shy of one and yet the Nets still lost. That should pretty much put this series in perspective or in other words the Nets never had a chance.

Great Double OT game. But with the Nets losing I guess it does make things obvious. They never stood a realistic chance. This was there best shot and they sorta blew it at the end. Shame though, since if they had won the series would have continued longer. I guess Sunday they will be swept.

Though that's the least of my worries. The Celtics have lost it. (Like the crazy bumpkin from Waterboy) "We suck again." :bouncy: Antoine has lost it, and so has Ricky. Their shooting has been disgraceful. The team has lacked emotion, and surprisingly Pierce has continued on as our strongest player. But it's obvious the whole team has to put in a super effort and the team has to RUN RUN RUN. Down 2-1 things aren't looking great, but hopefully on Saturday they can stop BS'ing around and play some real ball.

What a great victory by the Sixers tonight. Webber was amazing in the 4th quarter and Iverson well he almost contributed on every single Sixer point with 37 and 14 assists :D. The Pistons defense didn't show up tonight.

PS: The Suns are smacking the Grizzlies hard. I feel so bad for this franchise, they enter the playoffs for the first time in their history last year and they get the defending champion Spurs in the first round and now they get in again and they get the team with the best record in the NBA.

wow bulls got shellacked. just absolutely no effort tonight, horrible game all around. chandler looked lost, and hinrich was nowhere to be found, foul trouble helped that. if the players don't develop a sense of urgency and find a way to fight back, this series is over.
