The Legend
We will pick Justin Gray (West Charlotte legend) and Adam Morrison and trade BK and some guy (or a loose woman, shinn loves his loose women) for Chris Paul and then sign Antawn Jamison (Providence legend).

Then Bobby Lutz will come and coach them. Just don't let Jordan coach!

farewell Bonner, you'll always be a legend around here :(
that is a good trade. Colangelo's already done more than Babcock.

I know Rony we all love Bonner, but conscience comes before emotions in business. :boohoo:

I think Larry Brown will retire after this.

I think Michael Jordan will try to get him to coach the Bobcats. It would be th perfect situation for him. He would have a young team with low expectations and he would be given as much time as possible to get the job done. Plus, Charlotte is were North Carolina is, which is his alma mater.

So Shifty no mock draft this year?

Oh come on, who do you take me for? I live for the NBA Draft. It's my new year. Check the other thread, I put up my first one; I'll have the final one on either the day of, or the night before Draft Day.

Um a couple of things wrong with your post. Larry Brown would have a young team....Larry Brown hates young players if you didn't already know that. The expectations aren't as low as they were in the first two seasons. People expect that if not this year next year we should definitely be able to contend for a playoff spot. He's a great coach but I don't want him here.

Yes, but these young players wan't to win. They also play defense. Gerald Wallace is a VERY underrated defensive player. And there's no one selfish on this team. Brevin Knight is a Larry Brown type point guard. Ray Felton has had experiances in college were there was a lot of talent around him so he had to pass alot. Felton won't have a problem with that. Like I said, Wallace is a perfect Larry Brown type player. Emeka Okafor would do wonders with Brown because Emeka is also a defense first type of player. It's a perfect team for Brown. Yes they're young, but they're not selfish.

Once and for all I want people who haven't seen the Bobcats play on a regular basis to stop praising Brevin Knight. Stats don't mean squat, they might look impressive for him but he is crap. He plays decent for three quarters and in the 4th (every single game) he becomes the s*ittiest player in the history of basketball and loses countless games for his team. With Brown as the coach Knight would get all the playing time at the expense of the young and promising Felton who by the way is our most clutch player. Brown would be a terrible coach for us.

BTW if Gerald Wallace played for a better team he would win defensive player of the year easily. He's the best defensive player I've ever seen but because he plays for the Bobcats he gets no attention :nape:

I hope Larry Brown takes Dolan for every god damn penny. Even if this new rumor that he maliciously tried to sabotage the Knicks to get Zeke fired is true. Damn, it must be a living hell for NYK fans reading this endless sh*t stream every day, but watching this situation unfold is just endless laughs for the rest of us

I cant see things getting better under Isiah. I think the guy is really and truly screwed, as are this team for the next decade, and the only thing to make this whole thing more tragic would be him taking on yet another bloated contract headcase or declining superstar while giving away yet more youth. Cwebb to NY for Frye, Lee, QRich and filler for instance. If they give Chicago a top 3 pick it will be suicide watch for many fans

UNC is in Chapel Hill, UNCC is in Charlotte. about 150 miles apart. Heh, slayer would kill you for mixing those up. Though I guess better UNC Charlotte than Duke.

I don't want Larry. He's a great coach, no denying that, but he's old. We need a young coach to replace Bernie, one who will have time to build a team.

I hear we're trading BK, it was reported in the Observer (Charlotte's big paper) a few weeks back. Felton is better, and alot younger. That's why I want Gray, so we can move Felton to PG (all the time) and play Gray as SG (both of their favored postions, plus Gray = Charlottean = ticket sales).

PG: Felton, SG: Gray (if we can get him 50th); F: Morrison/Gay (whoever we pick 3rd), F: Wallace; PF/C: Okafor (Brezec off the bench) would be a good improvment. We had to get rid of Rush because he wasen't 100% dedicated.

Alex, I heard their is a season ticket for $199, is it a crap seat? If it's a decent seat I'll look into buying it, since i have directv and can't get News14 to see games.

I love the comment "plus, no one on Charlotte is selfish!"

Yeah, no one is selfish because they don't have a single player on the team good enough on the offensive side of the ball to be selfish. They would kill for someone like Kobe or T-Mac at this point.

They are upper lever corner seats but s*it if you've been to the new arena you know that every seat in the house is a good seat and after all those seats usually sell for $10 but with this deal they would go for just under $5 a game. You can't beat that.

Shifty I agree with you 100%. We need a player with great offensive skill who can take over a game for us. I think Morrison can be that player, I don't think Gay has it in him although he has the potential for it.

ShiftyPowers

Make America Great Again
Yeah, I agree. For a long time I've felt that Gay was the right fit in Charlotte, but currently I have them taking Morrison at #3. Plus it just seems like Jordan doesn't like Gay for some reason.

BIG TRADE

The Toronto Raptors send PF Charlie Villanueva to the Milwaukee Bucks for PG T.J. Ford and cash.
Villanueva set a rookie record for the Raptors by scoring 48 pts in one game last season, in an away game against his new team -- the Bucks. Villanueva will add great scoring punch to the Bucks and will complement Bogut in the front court. Meanwhile, T.J. Ford becomes the Raptors' much-needed point guard.

------------------

I think this is a good trade, although I'm a little sad that CV is the one that had to go, because he has plenty of potential. But TJ is a good player and a playmaker, which is what we needed.

Ford/Calderon/Williams/Barrett
Peterson/Calderon/Williams/Tucker
Graham/Tucker
Bosh/Bargnani/Humphries
Nesterovic/Bargnani/Sow

I think with a couple more solid swingmen and no injuries we can be a solid playoff contender this season.

TheBlueBalla

With his injuries, ford is a gamble, but I can remember how electrifying the longhorn TJ Ford was in March of 2002. If the Raps got that guy, then losing Villanueva doesnt seem all that bad

But honestly, I think they couldve gotten more for CV

TJ Ford was the reason the Bucks even made the playoffs last year. He's a solid PG and a good trade by the Raps imo. Ford and Bosh could be a good one-two punch.

ShiftyPowers

Is that trade official? Holy crap. I'm actually not a huge Ford fan because he can't shoot and he has major injury problems, but he has led the Bucks to their best seasons after the Big Three left, so he's alright. Personally, I'd rather have Charlie, so I'm happy with this trade. I think Mo is ready to step up and be a full time point guard on a playoff team.
