hahaha i was watching the game at mason, ******* insane...

"Patriots guard Tony Skinn said coach Jim Larranaga fired up his players by telling them that UConn's players didn't even know which conference George Mason is in.

"That's a little bit of disrespect," Skinn said. "Coach told us the CAA stands for 'Connecticut Assassin Association."'

Will any of the Mason players be entering the draft?

Mason players in the NBA, no not likely.

Dammit, second in the Bracket Challenge again! If only I had Florida beating UConn! So yeah, one final four team, Florida.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr if only stupid Villanova won then I would of finished second but meh I guess 3rd is ok too, heck it would still win me like $20 in the challenge I entered with a bunch of people at my highschool.

If George Mason wins the title, I'll disown college basketball for a year. That's right, I'll skip March Madness next year, if it happens.

Just met Pittsnogle at the rec. Played a few rounds with him. He said he felt we had the game won against Texas when WV took the lead in the final 10 mins. Wasn't to be.

Great guy.

Wow! It's pretty cool that he's that easily accessible off the court, man. You should've asked him if he was seriously considering the NBA and how he was preparing for it.

Oh he is very easily accessible. He lives right by the basketball arena known as the Coliseum.

I wanted to ask him about the NBA but we started playing and I left soon after. I'll probably see him again today...

he is so down to earth. He actually waits for his turn to play if the courts are full.

It's actually not all that unusual on a college campus Yos. I've played pickup games against both Kammron Taylor and Mike Wilkenson. But it's still amazingly cool if you see one of the players on a court at the gym. Funnily enough, I saw Ray Nixon the other day balling; he was just as lazy as he is in regular games.

Cool, cool. Seems like a fun, approachable person that you could trust your wallet with.

Challenge 'em to a game of 21 the next time you see him and see how you fair against him.

Neato, bro. I mean, I can understand you crossing paths with the student stud athletes on the campus grounds/facilities, but to be able to hang with them and, and play pick up with them just seems unreal and dreamlike. I've had the chance to ball with D-1 recruits here who've unfortunately gone by the way side due to injuries, a violation of some sort, or poor grades and it was magical. These guys weren't what you'd consider blue chip recruits by any means, but they were so superior and finely tuned and calibrated compared to us mere mortals that it wasn't even funny, man.

21 is the crappiest game in the history of the world. You don't get better in any way by driving against 56 defenders hacking the **** out of you.

Really, they were that much superior? Kammron Taylor, while better than everyone out there, wasn't by far superior to anyone, I mean, I used to guard him pretty often. Although Wilkenson on the other hand was the best shooter I've ever seen. It could have been because he's 6'10'' and guarded by some douchebag 5'10'' kid who was unathletic, but insisted on guarding him over me. But he hit EVERYTHING. And he wasn't really even trying, just being the last guy up the court and then knocking down a three.

Cool.

There are two games that I know of that go to 21, American, and 21. 21 is a purely shooting game where someone breaks the ice from the free throw line and his opponent has to take the ball from wherever it lands, if it doesn't touch rim, you get to shoot from anywhere on the court including a simple layup which are counted as 1 point. Once you score that one point, you go behind the three point line for a two pointer. If you've got 19 and score a 1 pointer, you can't score your two pointer because that'll put you over 21 and bring you back to 11.

That's the 21 I'm referring to.

That's way too complicated. I've always played it this way: every basket counts 2 points. Once you get to 20 you go behind the ark and shoot the 21 shot which counts 1 point. If you miss the 21 shot then your score goes back to 14. Much easier than your version.

We always called it hustle, where it's a complete free for all for scoring. You do anything you can to score, and everyone else does everything they can do to make you not score, fouls are basically encouraged. Any two point shot is 2 points, 3 point shots are 3 points, but whenever you make a shot, you go to the Free Throw Line (or the 3 point line) and you either get to shoot until you miss for 1 point shots, or you shoot until you miss up to 3 and then you take the ball out.

This guy I know stuffed McCants while guarding him in a pick-up game, yeh then 'Shad got gangsta and totally posterized my friend. He hasn't been back since.

Shifty's way is the correct way of playing 21.
