need help to remember

i'm not really into footbal games but as most games get boring..^^
a long time ago i played this game that i forgot the name of and as i remember was fun..
i tried the newer games but they are just not the same

so...help me remember
the game must have been before 2001...my best guess would be 97
u could only play as england teams
there was an option to watch the footbalgame itself(don't know if this is important)
and for the interface...al i remember that there was a clear mainscreen where from u could acces everything from(big button thing thing in shape of the thing u wanted. like big stadion button)(so not like the footballmanager 6 i tried with al is menu things)

i know its so clear but this is all what i could remember after all those years
i hope one of u can help me find this game
