I found out that my motherboard and processor sucks while the rest of my pc components is good so is it worth buying a new case , processor and Motherboard while using the same thing for the other parts like graphic card , Hard disk (example)..

If yes .. recommend me some processsor and motherboard.

Note my current processor is 2.0ghz
Motherboard only support 4x

I use this pc for gaming..

Or should i wait for newer ones

If you buy a new pc you'll need a new gfx card and ram. So basicaly only peripherals can be kept. Optical drive( s ) HDD and sound card (and any othr pci devices) And with new cpu/mobo/ram/agp, you will probably need a new big case (most likely). In the end, all you need is just.. 75% of a new pc.

meh mem timings are just awfull.., ddr2 sux. And is certainly not successsfull so far. And i dont think there is an AMD CPU that can support DDR2. AMd CPUs have the mem controler integrated, thus its not up to the mobo to give something different from what the CPU can give. Maybe the latest amds do support DDR2, i havent realy looked much into Hardware news as of late tbh, but i realy doubt it there is support yet.

On a similar vein.....i'm gonna be building a comp soon (for gaming & everyday stuff, plus some video processing) & I need some recommendations on my mobo & CPU. I'm not really inclined to either an AMD or Intel processor. Just want as much bang as possible for my money, which is about US$400. Any recommendations?

the way i see it, a gaming rig costs just about 300+~ just for a graphics card. Then another 200-300 for CPU and a mobo deff from, or above 100. A PC for gaming costs a lot and also to adding vid edit to that... video edit/processing nowdays should requires at least 1gb of ram and lots of HD space. 200gigs should do the trick most of the time. Btw thats if we're talking about a true gaming/vid editing rig

My CPU & mobo budget is $400 :) For the graphics card i'm considering a 128MB Geforce 6600GT DDR3 DVI or a 256MB ATI X800GTO. Both fall in my budget range. I'm not exactly going for a cutting-edge gaming machine here. Just something that'll at least last me a couple of years :)
