I thought Germany played OK. But without Basti and Podolski, we were very weak technically. Huth and Worns were very shaky. It was lucky that the Germans did not lose the game.

I dont understand either why Nistelrooy stays first choice. The past season Makaay was much better than him and Makaay started the season awesome. Also playing vs. the Germans would give Makaay just a little extra impulse

Makaay unfortunately showed again tonight that Van Nistelrooij fully deserves his place. Makaay is an awesome striker but he needs to play with the same team week in week out, not a team who plays once in every two months...

2-2 is a pretty fair result, but had Van Basten left the starting eleven on the pitch (except maybe for Maduro) we would have won fairly easily. Germany didn't impress me at all, espescially their attack and central defense.

Man Robben played an excellent game with 2 fantastic goals but a few times he was too selfish and it was better if he had passed the ball to Makaay who was free as a bird and so was van Persie.
The 1nd half was our game, the Germans were nowhere but the 2nd half Germany was stronger and Ballack was their best man by far.
Not good to let them come back twice though after a two goal headstart. I agree, van Nistelrooij is our striker no matter how good Makaay is and if I were van Basten I never would've subbed Kuijt.

I guess Klinsman is trying to show those doubters that the youth is better than the veterans. Today showed how much better Podolski, Schwein, Deisler, Lahm really are than any other players Germany can offer. Worns, Hamann, Neuville and all that **** are too old.

I know I've said this already, but Worns was horrible. At fault on both goals from what I've seen. Huth was shaky too. I missed the first half so i can't comment on Mertesacker. But the defense really needs to get better. And what the **** was Kuranyi doing all match? Just standing there waiting for the ball to come. Even van Nistelrooy did more than him. He MUST NOT played at the World Cup.

I'd rather let him be a utility bomber and lean on Podolskis goal ability a little more. Kuranyi can drible and cen tak a man one on one. His scoring average is a little low but it doesn't matter when you have Podolski up there and Ballack supporting you.

Germany are such a-late-warming-up NT. As usual, they are a patient team & can score at any given minutes in 2nd half.

Sorry for bringing this thread up again...

How can anyone say this result was fair? We were pure crap, definitely the worst game under Klinsmann's belt. He plays the young guns not because of their age but because they're better. Who the heck needs Hamann? He was ******* horrible. The Dutch players were in much better shape, no wonder they've had 3 more weeks of preparation (Confed Cup).

Like Silencer already stated, Van Nistelrooy has to play, not Makaay. Roy is a worldclass player but he doesn't fit the tactics and the style of the team. Boulahrouz was great on the defensive end, a good physical presence.

If anyone ever wonders why the Holland hasn't had much success in the past with all their fantastic individuals, watch this game. They didn't want to win the game, they wanted to take the opponent apart. In the end they forgot to score the goals.

What happened to the Oranje fans? Outsung by 1000 Germans.
