Hey guys,
Just wanted to tell you lads that I'm leaving the soccer gaming scene for a while, I won't be posting here and I'm no longer a football (soccer) reviewer for The Sports Gaming Network (www.sports-gaming.com) - though some of my reviews are yet to be published on the site and will be soon.
On Wednesday I'm starting medical school at UWO so soccer gaming/reviewing will be taking a backseat for a few years (as you can imagine).
Anyway, I just wanna say some thank yous firstly to Matt Holme for creating SoccerGaming.com - without this guy it's very likely we never would have all met here and I'd still be boring my gf to death talking about football and football games. SoccerGaming.com has given all us football die hards a place to come and talk about THE BEAUTIFUL GAME and for those living outside of Europe, Asia & S.America this is important (since many North Americans think "Arsenal" is a british swear word). Cheers Matt.
Second, to James Chheng (my boss) and The Sports Gaming Network - when every single site on the internet is giving Fifa 2001 scores of 9/10 & 10/10 it takes balls and faith for an editor to listen to some crazy British guy living in Canada and post a review that absolutely slams the game and finally looks at soccer gaming from a FUTBOL fan's perspective. Massive props to James and everyone else involved with SGN - and I hope you guys here still check it out as I still believe it's the premier site for sports gaming on the net.
And third - to all of you, from the old Fifa 2000 forum crew (Simmonius, ShiftyPowers, Legia Manchester, Polish Power, Drinky, Joe, Antithesis, G-R etc) all the way to the ISS/PES posse (the_man, Berty, V-9, G-R, Dave and everyone else) - thanks for listening to me bitch and for reading my marathon posts. Big shout out to Amika too. If there's any regret I have from coming to these forums it's that I never had the time to get to know you fine folks better - I often wish I had of discovered these forums when I was in high school and had more time to chew the fat with my soccer gaming brothers. I know that it is definately my loss.
Anyway, I'll be here today & tommorow and I'll try to drop into the forums when I have time and get the chance (I have no internet where I'll be staying tho).
Thanks again.
Take care and God bless.
Cheers,
Lavan
PS Check out my other thread for my "going away present".
