let's use some brains here shall we
first point, let's say you do believe your own turf patch to be the best and your pride was so deeply hurt by regularcat's views to the point that you decide to stop releasing the patch altogether. firstly, people may think that this act comes from sheer childish pride/selfishness and thus you won't be appreciated anyway, assuming that you've already settled on the belief that people don't appreciate your work (which is mostly not true, by the way
). so by not releasing the patch, you are not doing yourself any good, psychologically speaking. however, by releasing the patch, people would actually come to recognize your efforts and applaud. you've got nothing to lose in this scenario, see? 
secondly, if you really do believe yours to be the best turf patch out there and you want to prove regularcat wrong, why not release it so that people could use it, decide for themselves, praise you, and together prove regularcat wrong for you? that would serve your pride (IF you have quite an ego, which i'm merely speculating) as well as payback.
thirdly, as others have mentioned, it's all a matter of taste. a lot of people like console turfs. and in this aspect, yours is taking the lead. Judging from the screens anyways. We'll just gotta test it out when you release it, which you will do right, buddy?

I think your grass will be the best, but you need upload patch, or at least video. Picture doesn't says all.
And what if Regularcat says that different? It doesn't matter at all. Look at my Iniesta patch. There are much more better Iniesta's faces on this forum, but I upload it, because someone might to use it. And there will be a a lot of peoples that will use your patch. Trust me.

you need to release your patch because everybody here obviously wants your turf man.

many people make the same mods, there are 10 man utd kits out there, there are 3 sets off world cup 2010 balls floating around.
you dont actually think that 1 set of these will only be used.
people like what they like, its that simple.
same goes for me & junjoong's grass, i like it so much i tell people to use his over mine.
the point is dont worry about mine or anyone elses comments that dont sit right w/ you.
make what you make & handle your business shrug them off, then brush your shoulders off, & continue to do what you do.
