I LOVE the new Dutch NT kits, they look so good: finally the blue socks return, just like it always should be. The new away shirt looks very good too. Beats the crap out of the new adidas and puma designs, nike finally makes the right decision by making the shirts plain.

Although not spectacular, I like them much more than our former ones.

I rephrase my opinion, taking a close look I say the red one is very nice too.

But the black one is simply gorgeous, I'll try to get one of those for myself!
hope we don't f'ck up in the WC though, or else the kit will bring up bad memories

I will definitely buy our away kit. I don´t dislike the main one but i would only buy the socks, they look great. Anyways im pleased, i always expect the worst with Nike. Our away kits are always the best, i.e last one who was white and blue, it was lovely.

I fucking love the blue kit. I'd hoped they'd go with something similar to the 1995 kit, and that's exactly what they've done. (Y)

Nike Unveils New 2006 Jerseys for U.S. Men's National Team

NEW YORK (Monday, February 13, 2006) - Nike and U.S. Soccer have unveiled the 2006 U.S. Men’s National Team jersey, which will be worn this summer by the U.S. at the FIFA World Cup in Germany.

The jersey will debut on the field this Sunday, February 19, as the U.S. faces Guatemala at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, Texas, live on ESPN2 and Telemundo at 2 p.m. ET (tickets).

The jerseys will hit the shelves in early April, but fans will have the opportunity to pre-order jerseys at ussoccerstore.com beginning today.

The palette took the red, white and blue of the United States flag, and used elements inspired by the jersey of the 1950 World Cup tournament where the U.S. defeated England. These cues come in the form of bold stripes on both the home and away versions, and a large U.S. Soccer crest bordered in gold to stand out more than ever before.

The white of the home jersey backs a double obsidian blue and brick house red stripe that runs down the left side, disappearing into the blue short and re-appearing for the length of the white sock. The U.S. Soccer logo sits over the stripe on the left chest and on the right leg of the short.

The away kit is a modern-day retro jersey, hearkening back to the original Nike uniform designed for the U.S. Men's National Team back in 1995 and worn for two years. The uniform features a deep obsidian blue jersey, with a rich brick house red horizontal stripe across the chest bordered on either side by clean white stripes. The number breaks up the stripe in the center of the chest, and a prominent U.S. Soccer logo is on the left chest. It is designed to be worn with white shorts and obsidian blue socks.

The font for the numbers is rooted to U.S. sporting tradition. The bold, curved characters with blunt and slant edging are the most historically and currently prevalent in many sports throughout the U.S.

While based on tradition, the cut of the jerseys have been streamlined for a sleeker look and more comfortable fit. The major advancement in comfort comes from the use of Nike Sphere Dry material in the garment construction. This technology wicks sweat away from the body through the shirt while featuring raised nodes on the underside that lift the shirt away from the players' bodies to keep their skin drier and reduce shirt cling.
