Seen this posted on another forum not a million miles away - as a sheepshagger, I obviously found this funny (H)

I'd pick the England Admiral kit worn in 1982 over this one...hell,even that kit with Lineker on it is wayyy classy.

Seems i'm very much in the minority because I think it looks class!

Colours go well together and a smart layout with the badge in the centre. One of the best away shirts we've ever had.

Liking the GK kit as well.

I think England is cool, but I expected something more innovative, the design is exactly the same as in the 1st kit, that's why it's a little disappointing for me.

Now that we have England away, anyone knows about the release date for Ireland home? (and more UMBROs, of course)

RE: England...

I like the colour scheme, because I've been hoping for a return to dark blue trim on the away kit for AGES. My favourite ever is the 1990 one, as quoted earlier in the thread :

But the design, as with all Umbro's current lot, is utter cack. All they've done is, like with the home kit, take an existing template and make a couple of minor changes in an attempt to make it look "unique". What a mess.

This will be our kit if we qualify for South Africa 2010, then, yes? Thank God we'll have a new home kit by then, because we currently have the worst combination of kits I think we've ever had.

That said, I approve of sky-blue on the away goalie kit (even though, again, the actual layour isn't great). Would be better if it was coupled with a yellow home gk kit, though...

big "if" there ... either way, the answer is still "no" ... like you say, you will have a new home kit (which will be released in 2009, as per the two-year cycle) ... and a new away kit will be launched around this time (or maybe a little earlier) in 2010 ....

Xifio is right, they would have a new home kit in 2009 and a new away kit before the World Cup starts in 2010, if they get there.

It's about time Engl*nd had navy again on their away kits, even though this latest effort is still pretty awful, the last kit was solely red and white with a very feint hint of gold, which made us sheepshaggers laugh because we thought you were turning into a clone of us.

That keeper kit reminds me of the third kits they had in the late 80's early 90's, which was sky blue with navy trim. I'd imagine there would be a yellow keeper kit further down the line for use against teams wearing blue, as the home keeper kit is navy. The 1990 away kit was one of their most popular kits even to the point where they used it for 3 years, a rarity these days of course but it was done purposely to stagger kit releases so that each year alternated between a new home and a new away kit being released.

Back across the border into sheep shagging territory, I heard we're going to be wearing our new away kit tomorrow night for the friendly against Norway, even though we're at home. Which begs the question... why? Not why yellow at home, but why a new away kit when the JJB deal kicks in in August, when a new away kit would be commissioned anyway. 6 months after bringing out a new kit, we have another, talk about gross exploitation!! Kappa can go and sling their hook!!

The England one is to bad to mention, the kepper is going to llok like a blob, I pity James but at least he's used to bad kits, the aussi one isn't that good although they still stick to the decent coloring.
