New national shirts

I'd like to know when the new national team shirts will be released. In particular the spanish jersey. And when are other (european) shirts going to be released, like the france and portugal jersey?

I don't know anything about it yet, man. I pedict it won't be happening in the next couple of months, at least for Portugal. But I'll keep my eyes on it, and as soon as there's news I'll post them here.

Well, i got like a little bit of a dilemma. I want to buy the authentic National Home Shirt of Spain, with my name and number etc. That joke is going to cost me about 120 euros. Therefore, I want to know when the new shirt is going to be released. If it gets released before the summer I'll buy the new one. Otherwise, I'll have to think really well if I still want to buy the WC2002 edition of the Spanish home shirt.

hugo, they released the current portugal shirt in march of 2002 during the 1-4 capitulation to finland.

i bought it in april of that yr, and im pretty sure its gonna last 2 yrs, right up to euro 2004, when nike (BOO!) will introduce a new model for the selecçao and its supporters.

Yeah, somehow I thought it would take some time before the new one. Bah...

Oh well, maybe they'll pesent the new one before that, to capitalize on the interest around the Euro2004...

Really tough choice, Americangreg... The spanish and port. wc jerseys sucked big time, imho... I'd wait, but since you have to get it before the summer...

Is it true that USA shirt will last at least 2 more years? Coz USA's next tournament will be WC2006. Does that mean they won't have a new shirt in the upcoming years? If so I might consider buying the USA away shirt, cool motion version. You see, I'm half american half spanish. I could buy USA shirt now, and buy Spanish shirt next year or so. But this also depends whether the spanish shirt gets introduced soon, or just before Euro 2004.
I'm half Spanish half American, but in terms of supporting national soccer teams I'd say I am 3/4 Spanish, 1/4 American

I believe the Portugal Jersey is supposedly coming out next fall/winter(Most likely would be logical as a merchandising technique, the old Christmas release).

Anyway, I'm really thinking about the USA away jersey. I just like the Nike kits from WC2002. I'll buy the New Spanish jersey when it comes out then. But does anyone know an online store having the (authentic) USA away kit from WC2002 that lets you do numbering? I know one (good) store, subside sports, but it seems they don't have the USA away jersey...

Yea, i think it lasts till 2006, but we have atleast 2 tournements between now and then (Gold Cup, Confed. Cup), so you never know.

Adidas usually release their new kits for the teams they sponsor (France, Germany, Spain, etc...)
round about Febuary before the major tournament
so the new shirts will be out around FEB 2004

Really? I didn't even notice. Well, I thought it was the same as the WC2002 version, so I called it that way. But I'll say "current jersey" from now on.

ive historically hated nike, and have done so for several years, not just for their football equipment, but for everything they make. im an adidas man myself, b/c theyve been around the game a hell of a lot longer, and they kinda know what there doing.

ps: i bought the portugal kit, even tho theyre supplied by nike, b/c national pride overpowers even a severe aversion to a brand
