New real fix for lag

STILL doesn't work

Hi all first post.

I have literally tried EVRRY 'fix' on the internet and my game STILL stutters!!!!!! It's because the game uses 100% of the CPU. Now before I explain I KNOW this isn't for everybody, just for people like me who get lag and slow-downs! (ie a ton of ppl).

If you play this game with task manager running, you will see on the bottom right that as soon as the green bar is full (a full green bar on the task manager means the CPU is at 100%) the game lags to hell. And when it's actually smooth for a while, the CPU is running at less than 60% capacity.

Basically a video game should use no more than about 40% of the CPU, if it uses 100% then it will strain the CPU and thus cause the lag. That is why in Fifa12 despite lag we still get 30+ frames per second. Why? Because it is not a GPU issue it's to do with the CPU. That's why we still get a high frame count because our graphics cards are fine, its just that the demo is killing the CPU.

It's a major performance bug that makes this game use ALL of the CPU power when it shouldn't. I can run the game perfectly fine for like a quarter of the game then out of nowhere it stutters, goes away, comes back. etc. my machine is more than capable to run this game (like a lot of people's actually)

I'm talking about the full game!! -_- in this case, same scenario as the demo (they both lagged!)

It definately works for my kids dual core pc. It has a side effect of causing menus and cutscenes to Lag, but it certainly improves game stuttering.

Alternatively Nvidia owners could try my Fix that "May" give better results. This also may help ATI users.

Ok no more (almost) lag for me finally! :browsmiley:

But I've not followed every istruction from Arayas.

I set Nvidia Control Panel as Arayas suggested.
Same for fifasetup.ini except for the string screen_sleep = 16 which modify gameplay pace without reducing stuttering (in my experience at least) so I put it out.
Any change on rna text file. (except for language selecting skip)
No use of the lod in the Arayas fix patch
Yes for D3D overrider (of course)
Yes for setting to "high" Fifa.exe process.

That's all folks. After so many attempts I finally get it. Thanks to Arayas for the best Nvidia CP settings (Y)

My spec:

Amd X2 6000+ 3.1 ghz / 4 gb Ram/ nvida Gtx 460 1 gb / WIn 7 64 bit.

i also tried these advices ... so i installed or modified the following tools and settings

- FIFA 12 Real Performance Optimizer V 1.0
- FIFA 12 FAST START V.1.0 BY DOCTOR+ PRODUCTIONS
- Use D3D Override Tool
- Nvidia Fixes included in this Thread
- uninstalled XBOX 360 Accessoires

my setup:
Intel Core Duo E6600 @ 3,16 Ghz
6 GB Ram
Nvidia Geforce 8800 GT
Win 7 64 BIT

Now the game runs smoothly offline and online :clapwap: ... BUT i lost connection to my opponent in online Game after 10 to 20 seconds :bob:

I got an error message, that the game is not synchronized any longer ...

Before i've done this modifications i was able to play full games in online mode. I suppose that this happens, because the game is stuttering on opponent's side :-(

does anybody has the same problem?
