totally new to FM2007 , I updated to 7.0.2 and then wanted to use the editor. My team Celtic only had £1m transfer budget, was going to make it £6/7M and opened the editor but unlike other editors it does not take you to the file folder to click on a file it just opens it for you. But when saving as in Save as, it does not show the file name, all that it give you to pick is Original or 7.0.2 update ( i take it there is a space between 7.0.2 and update? as it looks that way ) anyway I saved the edited file as 7.0.2 update.

When I went in and opened up a new game, it was still the £1m transfer budget. usually in game edits when you Save as it gives you the file name , you click on it save and it comes up Overwrite?

It doesn't actually show a name for me when I use either "save database" (it would if just save it if it was one previously edited by you) or "save database as". It would show the database names if you pressed "load database" by accident however.

That would explain why it wasn't saved too, ofc. :(

The game uses a set folder in "c:\documents and settings\<current user>\my documents\sports interactive\football manager 2007\db\" to save your edited databases at, and you can open those by selecting them as you would the original ones. They're added to that drop down list.
