I really thought Newcastle had blown it then, but last weeks two goal hero (still trying to find match fitness) came up with another twist in this game's tail ...
Shearer scored the winner off a deflected shot on 82 minutes.

the TOON held on and Roy Keane even got sent off before the end

Although I'm a Man Utd fan, I still have to say: Blanc is experienced, but he's too slow!! (Just look at the 4th goal, when Bellamy [Am I spell right?] got pass through Blanc so easily...) NU deserves to get 3 points......

blanc is really slow.. but you have to understand that he didn't get much match played during the last few months at inter.. so give him some time.. and newcastle play really well.. fully deserving all the 3 points...

Man U are on a downward slide. Laurent Blanc is experienced, intercepts well and reads the play well, but he is nearing his careers end and wasn't a good investment.

Manutd's defence is a complete mess at the moment, the midfield is excellent and so is the strike force but the defence needs some serious sorting out.Once united get that fixed they'll be back on track.It's not over for manutd, season just started but they do need to improve the defence, and quickly

Man.U should of played Mikael Silvestre. Phil Neville was terrorized at the leftback position by Newcastles attackers.Phil Neville is not up to the same standard as Silvestre. Another thing is Deportivo lost! against....Ath.Bilbao! OMG! Whats going on? The underdogs are winning for a change.
