what?! what did i say about other countries players? i just say that Rooney is overrated! if he scored 4 goals on Euro it doesnt mean he is the superman like Ronaldo or Henry.

First of all, why does Newcastle want another striker? They've got Shearer, Bellamy and Kluivert. Second, those who are claiming that 20 million is not enough are living in the soccer market of, say, about 5-10 years ago. Don't know if you've noticed or whether you've been living under a rock, but players are sold for less and less every year.

Everton have the English media to thank over the large transfer fee they will get (eventually) for Rooney.

Hes a good player, but ppl went a little too far. He scored 4 goals at Euro, yes, but that was against Croatia and Switzerland. And at club level, well James Beattie deserves X2 more praise than Rooney does.

Fact is, when Everton did so well couple seasons back, Radzinski was the better player than Rooney, and didnt get 1/4 the praise.

I feel dirty for saying this, but


Rooney is worth that money. I watched all the England games during the Euro and he ripped all other defensive lines apart. He only scored against mediocre teams but his performance vs. France was spectectular, especially for a 18 year old.

The team relied on him.

Rooney is a talent and belongs in the top 10 young prospects in Europe currently. I see some animosity towards him just because he is english. He might not be worth 30€m but he sure is a good player with a bright future ahead if he settles down and starts using his brains for a change.
