If im correct Jaap Stam is staying in Lazio, or he said he wants to go to Man City, srry, can't remember which one, maybe the news said Man City then Stam said hes stayin in Lazio

I don't know about him staying but he's certainly not going to Man City. His agent has come out and denied that a while ago.

Stam is too old imo ... want a good defender, and with atleast 3/4 years in him ... no one or two year crap

Stam might not be the defender when Man Utd won the Treble but he's still a solid defender. He is getting on a bit but he could just be the player to plug the hole in Newcastle's defence for the time being while their younger players, such as O'Brien and Griffin, mature.
