As with the xbox comming out 20 months after the PS2, any person knows thats why it is more powerful. The xbox2 that will die when PS3 comes out. Xbox2=current technology. PS3=future technology.

All I know is that since I reluctantly purchased Xbox way back when, the PS2 has done nothing but gather dust. It's plugged in solely to play imports of WE.

No i was saying that the XBOX 1 came out 20 months after the PS2. The PS3 should be out in 2006. I highly doubt also that M$ will be stupid enough to release their XBOX 2 later this year. The technology will be nowhere near close to that of the PS3. A HD-DVD which xbxo2 will use can only hold up to 30 Gb's per disc, while the blu-ray that sony will use for the PS3 can hold up to as of now 200Gb of data.
Not to mention that the xbox 2 at the moment is using 2 Powerpc 4 CPU's while the "Cell" has one on it and 8 attached Processing Units, APU's.

Bring it on and we'll see. May the better console win, I could care less who it is.

the better console is the one that sells more. Even though the xbox is more powerful than the PS2. Sony made 6 times more money off their system. With the xbox2 being released first, their plan is to do what sony did with the PS2, first and least powerful but who didnt want a next gen console and didnt want to wait for xbox and gamecube. it is a smart marketing decsion but sony has a much larger fan base.

Thats not the reason why FIFA is better. The game that is better is all in user choice. When it comes to hardware though if one dies off then there will be no more games. EXample dreamcast. I loved that system but since it didnt sell, no more games were made. See what Im saying. Software and Hardware are different. It is all about sales. ATI was dying until they made the 9700 and now they have a fighting chance. M$ lost so much money on the xbox that they didnt want to pay nvidia for the chips so in return they lost Nvidia.

Sales count -- we all learned that in business class 101. It also helps if your company is profitable enough to loose the occassional battles while winning the war. Microsoft was loosing money with every Xbox -- they've withstood it, have started to turn the ship around, and are taking on Sony by going to market 3-9 months before PS3.

Regardless of which tech specs are better, I don't see PS3 being a Xbox 2 killer. This doesn't even take into account Xbox Live burying Sony's online attempts.

Yes but like the money grubbers that M$ are, you pay for xbox live. I wouldnt make fun of Sony's FREE online gameplay. Its better than nothing, which is what you would have if you didnt pay M$ for xbox live. Thats the big picture. Also does a company server kill your home PC. Then why wouldnt the PS3 which has a CPU faster than any current Server/Mainframe, kill the powerpc xbox2? Im not saying it will, but if the specs are real for PS3 then yes it will.

P.S. Microsoft didnt make the xbox. They only provided the money for Nvidia and Intel. There is no section inside of an xbox that says Microsoft. They just put their name on the case because they funded it. It is their console but they didnt make it.

I never said sony wasnt doing well. I also want to say something about what you said earlier. You said you learned business class 101 right? You also said Microsoft is turning the tides and gaining money. They were not making a profit off of the system when it was $300 so what kind of profit do you think they are pulling in now that it is $150 to compete with Sony's price. They were losing aprox $200 dollars per xbox when it first came out. So take the knowledge you learned in business 101 and you can figure out how much money they are making now. Why do you think they charge for Xbox live? That is how they are making a profit off the Xbox. Remember the crap over M$ not wanting to pay Nvidia the up front price that was agreed and causing a stink. Nvidia wouldn't back down so they are still paying the up front price for the NV2A chips. I am sure the HDD, DVD -ROM and P3 processor are lowered in price but nvidia showed them. Sony on the other hand never once thought of not paying Toshiba the full price for the Emotion Engine. Once again let me say this. It is obvious that SONY has some concern for their customers. FREE online play. I dont care that its crappy because i dont have to pay for it. Microsoft on the other hand makes you pay a friggin fee to play online. If you dont pay, you dont play. Even most all PC online games are FREE, besides MMORPG's. Hmmmm money grubbin with the xbox live. Not to mention that the PS2 was a fully funtional DVD player right out of the box. WOW FREE things from Sony. Microsoft being the money grubbers that they are made you buy the DVD remote package, which was about $50 at launch, to even play DVD's. I should have expected a response like that. Anyone with an xbox will say sony is a monopoly if you call Microsoft one. True Sony is trying to create a monopoly but for the customer, not for their own money lovin selves. Xbox has a 30 warrenty while Sony gives their customers a 90 warrenty. That seems like another "more for the customer" idea. All I said is that I would rather have sorta good FREE online gaming than pay for it. Nothing FREE is going to be as good as a bought product. Ever used a FREE internet service? They suck next to your paid internet service, dont they?

I figgin love AVG Anit-Virus. Some would beg to differ but that thing is better than Mcafee and Norton combined. It isnt a system hog like those two either. Firefox........I would agree until I found out why its faster. Firefox allows more connections to be going on at once. You can get more packets at once. To make Internet explorer do this, it just takes a reg tweak. My Internet Explorer blazes along now.

Anyway, the subject of the thread was that Seabass thinks the PS2 has reached its limit. Old News. That PES 5 will be the last on the current platform. Old News. That PES6 will be on the next gen platform. Old News.

My comment was that -- unfortunately -- we'll likely not see a next gen WE/PES until August 2006.

Meanwhile, EA's already got a dev kit for Xbox 360, and has strongly hinted that FIFA 2006 and FIFA Street 2 will be available in late 05/early 06 on the new console.

Personally, I'm not emotionally invested in who wins the console wars. I own both consoles and likely will own both next gen consoles -- especially if the PS3 chip lives up to all the hype.

firefox is slower for me tbh,particurly just loading,takes about 5 seconds which is nothing but explorer takes 1 second,i added you to my steam friends list but no all my fav servers are gone ,you didnt hack me did u

edit do u know any other free products,i got a lot off a list at gamefaqs inwhich users listed their top 5 internet free products

Why would I hack you. Im not even at home yet. Im on a solaris PC at the moment so I couldnt even use steam. Wish I could, its better than Windows.
