NFL Thread (2005/06 season)

The Legend
Yes, It's almost august, so we need the thread.

Here's my training camp playoff picks:

NFC:
Philadelphia: Even if Owens holdouts, because they have the worst division ever. They'll make the super bowl with him, not without him.

Atlanta: Because only Carolina will pose a serious threat in the division.

Green Bay: I don't think the north will be a challenge to them, Lions are always going to be bad, Vikings need a year to get it back. Bears, heh.

Seattle: Just because

Carolina: Will get the first wild card unless 16 guys go in IR again. Will make the NFC Championship game if they avoid Atlanta in Atlanta during the playoffs.

Arizona: Surprize wildcard.

AFC:
New England: They'll probley do it again

Pittsburgh: I see no reason they can't get back to the playoffs, outside of Baltimore who can stop them?

Carlos*sonville: Will do something Indy doesn't know exists, play defense.

San Diego: Gates and Tomlinson will be too much for the west

Indy: They'll get in with that offense and horrible defense, get raped by New England

Baltimore: 9-7, again.

Predictions:

Washington Redskins: Redskins will go 7-9 and Sean Taylor will be in a Florida jail by... say, January?

my prediction for my vikings will be a solid 11-5. green bay will suck this year, im sorry but that defence will be annihilated game in game out.

17 days 19 hours 41 minutes until the Panthers play their first pre-season game :rockman::(

There's no way I can make predictions when it comes to the NFL, I'm waaaaay too biased.

We already made it to the Super Bowl without TO. He will just be an asset if he stays. Its our defense and Mcnabb that will win the Super Bowl.

I can't wait to see our offense out on the field, we've got one the best receiving groups in the NFL IMO in Porter, Moss, Ronald Curry, and Doug Gabriel. We're going to have to play like the Colts and try to outscore everyone since our damn defense isn't going to stop anyone. First game of the season: Patriots in New England, god help us. :(

Anyway, the AFC West should be pretty good: the Chiefs revamped their D to go along with their offense, San Diego should be able to build on last season, and Denver is always in the mix. I think we can get 6-8 wins this season and I'll gladly take that, we only had 5 last season. :boohoo:

I hope the Giants make even though its unlikely. Eli Manning needs to stand the fvck up . He is in his second season and was the first overoll pick last year.

The Cowboys should resurect too, hopefully. Parcels is a genius.

Ah yeah i hope the fvcking Jets lose all 16. :D

da bears!!!! we're in damn good shape. the lions are still a year off, green bay is old and favre won't have much protection now that his tackles are gone, walker is a little bitch who won't show up to camp, and the vikings aint gonna win **** when they give up as many points as they score.

the good news about the bears is the only way we can go is up. being ranked last in offense offers you a glimmer of hope. we got a healthy rex, an enthusiastic moose, and our defense is already tops in the leauge, and will only get better now that urlacher and adewale are healthy. now if only benson would wake up and see the opportunity in front of him and sign the damn contract.

Panthers needed to replace Moose, a good move to get Rod Gardner who is just as big maybe a tad lighter than the Moose.

It's gonna be good to have Smith back tho, man we missed him.

I hear he didn't lose any speed, which is good. He might be lighter tho, which is bad as he's already tiny by NFL standards.

right now anything related with football gets me excited, e.g. madden 2006 being released in 2 weeks(H)

I might get Madden, not too sure yet since I bought NCAA Football 06 which is great.

Oh yeah, did anyone see former USC DT Manuel Wright leave Dolphins camp crying a couple of days ago? That was pathetic man, apparently he couldn't handle the coaches getting on him about being overweight and not doing the drills properly. :D
