They've got a dozen free agents this year, I think. Malkin and Staal are gonna be commanding some serious coin, man. It's not them who want to reconfigure the roster, it's the market forces that are weighing heavily on 'em.


They paid dearly for Hossa and now he's gonna be bleeding them substantially for a sweet ass contract.....it'd be very wasteful to just let 'em walk, wouldn't it?
