NHL Trade Deadline 03

The record for the number of deadline deals was set. I'm wanting to hear some of yer comments so that's why I made the new thread. Toronto came out a real winner I think, but let's see how things turn out.:o . Busy day for all the teams pretty much.

Toronto's Trades:

Owen Nolan
Glen Wesley
Phil Housley
Doug Gilmour (KILLER IS BACK!)

Lots of veterans without really giving up anything. Only McCauley left our roster and we managed to hold on to all our prospects, with the only one leaving being Boyes. We should've dealt Tucker though:rolleyes:

Only 2 trades but they were goodies

Smehlik-Can replaces Oleg's sorry ass
Marshall-Working with Elias and Gomez and getting them both scoring.

So,we didn't trade as much as everyone else,but these 2 will help in the playoffs.

Devils failed miserably. They did nothing to improve their offense.

Doesn't really matter though, they still always find ways to win.

The way I see it is this.

Langenbrunner/Nieuwendyk/Friesen

Marshall/Gomez/Elias

Rupp/Madden/Gionta

and the 4th line I havn't worked out yet :) But Brylin will be in center of that line.


Really that's all we need to win the cup,Although I was pissed when we didn't pick up anyone else like Whitney or Doan,But I heard that everyone was high balling Lou and wanted Elias and Gomez and wouldn't except a draft pick like everyone else got to.

Oh well we are the underdogs agian and that's when we usually do are best in the playoffs.
