Nk Football ©: Fifa “gameplay Update” 06 – Download Latest Version!

Hello NK, I'm very optimistic about this last update and it seems to me that a few changes will make the definitive gameplay out of it. I am no specialist in editing, and I've tried to correct very few values (gamespeed to 40, spin of the ball, width of the field, CPU closedown speed to 995, CPU and human goalie skill to 70) without changing ball gravity and air resistance. It looks good.

I must say it kind of bugs me when people look at their self preference as a 'correction'. By no means is my update a 'fix' or a 'correction' and by no means is anyone changing what I have created a 'correction', it is simply opinionated gameplay for what they prefer and how they judge football.

I release an update, I update what was already available. I do not patch, I do not 'fix' anything. I simply create my own self preference and hope you guys enjoy it too.

By no means is this a dig at you grimph, I respect you and your opinions on my gameplay and take into account what everyone on this board wants from FIFA 06 gameplay. But by no means am I, or others on here 'correcting' anything.

lol yeah I know what you mean there. But since I have changed the physics I have scored with low headers and high header and some headers have just flown over the crossbar, so at least I know it is possible now.

love this patch, but theres a couple of things: firstly, there was one occasion when i passed back to the goalkeeper, and the goalkeeper stepped back and across, behind the goal line, in order to get the ball and he just let the ball roll to him, and hence it was an own goal. Also in a penalty shootout, the computer team shot, and it came off the goalie, into the post and back into the goals, but the goal was not registered.

Excuse me NK, but I took a glance at your cpudiff settings and I saw that you used these parameters for goalkeepers skill!

Legend level:
human: 8 / cpu: 110

World class level:
human: 12 / cpu 105

NK u need to fix this
these para's aren't remotely real there actually silly

this sounds harsh but i just think u didnt fullly understand the goalie parameters.

on my patches i put both goalies at 70 or 75

My personal opinion is that NK's gameplay is the best effort until now to provide a better variety of situations in game and a dynamics that is hard enough without being "CPU cheating"; I just like much more the previous release than the actual one, but I hope that the next one could be a further improvement on the road of an harder and more enjoying fifa.

I think this patch is much too hard, particually on the lower difficulty levels, Even people who have only played the game a handfull of times should be able to win on amatuer, and semi-pro, professional should be easier as well. However World Class and Legendary are about right. I often have friends come over and want to play the game, even if they have never played it before, they should be able to win on amatuer.

I have to agree with the goalie thing, this patch is good in that it is hard to break down a defence, but once that defence is broken down, and there is a one-on-one with the goalie, it shouldn't be difficult to slot the ball past the keeper

Finally, I think the opposition runs at you a bit too much, in real football, when the attacking team is just holding the ball, the defence doesn't always run at the ball-carrier, and instead sits in front of them, trying to stop them passing forwards. I don't see this happening enough in this patch.

Despite these flaws however, i must say that this is an awsome patch and it does make the game really fun, however it is way too hard at the moment.

I have read through ALL your feedback and I am going to put it everything you guys want into the next release. It should be exactly what you're wanting from your FIFA 06 gameplay.

Ok here is my latest info:

It is much harder to hit a shot on target at goal and break the defence, but beating the goalkeeper is no way near as difficult as before. Of course they will save some very good shots from your strikers, but they can be beaten much easier. It's just down to you to deliver the goods at goal. It's more skill than luck!

The CPU is worse at hitting the target and human goalkeepers are better than before resulting in a more balanced and 'fair' game of football. This area of the update is still being worked on.

Ball physics are much, much better. A higher gravity provides a more realistic feel to the ball, and this again is still being worked on.

The update will not be too long off, but by no means will I rush it.

At the moment I am balancing the update. Goalkeepers and ball-physics.

here are the latest results. as you can see the cpu had many shots and my keeper made some great saves but they scored twice, one with a corner, header, crossbar and in and the 2nd a deflection from the keeper (great save) but ronaldo did a great shot and the keeper juuust missed it.

i had a good few shots but couldn't hit the target.

And some other results, Chelsea V Man-Utd. I couldn't break the defence at all, both shots were just sad attempt long-range attempts haha, it was fun!! They scored with a great low header, the keeper went for it but the ball bounced and the spin on the ball made him miss-time the dive and it went in, it looked very, very nice! I applauded it. But the bugga's wouldn't let me get through to have a real chance on goal. My keeper saved some WICKED shots, shots that usually just go flying in. It was so fun.

what difficulty levels were they on?

Make sure you don't over do it, your Keeper shouldn't be that amazing (of course it should depend a lot on your keeper's skill level) but your keeper shouldn't appear to be much better than the oppositions keeper.

Also it shouldn't be that hard for you to get a few shots on goal (although this should depend on your difficulty level.

Cheers, that sounds about right then. You see often i have friends/relatives over, and we play FIFA, but they mainly haven't played it before, so hopefully the amatuer level is easy enough for them to be competitive.
