noticed a big problem using v6 in world cup 2006, with regards to free kicks and especially penalties. whatever has been done with respect to shots has made penalties 100% impossible to score on. i remember shooting penalties before i added any gameplay patches and they were normal.

im not kidding, i just shot 50 straight and missed them all.

in any case, looking forward to V8 hopefully this will be fixed. i havent totally ruled out a bug on my end but im pretty sure its the patch.

The problem you are experiencing won't be present in the V8 version.

cool, i cant wait? any ETA?

also, experiencing a crash during some free kicks, im pretty sure when [triggerrun] button is held the ball disappears and then the game crashes as soon as the ball is kicked

V8 is now complete and waiting for launch!! And yes, it includes the World Cup game update.

awesome man, V6 played great i cant wait to try V8. when is it gonna launch?

Hopefully very soon, maybe later tonight. You will all be notified when.

EDIT: Just so you all know, V8 for the World Cup game doesn't alter ball physics. It updates the CPU intelligence and makes them harder to beat. All credit to EA SPORTS is in the installation for the ball physics and AI.ini file.
