I need to know how 'difficult' you believe V8 to be in terms of winning games, breaking the CPU defence. Do you have a good challenge or do you simply dominate the CPU?

I'd love you guys to posts videos of your matches, since some of you claim to be able to win V8, I'd love to see it! I'm sure others would too who find it challenging.

I like this update nk, but i'm sure there will be plenty of people who find it too hard - my suggestion is that now you have tweaked this update so much and got it almost perfect you could release a few different versions. eg. For less Advanced players, for more advanced players and for the most advanced players.

But well done with this update, seems very realistic to me.

Well i feel that the game was still somehow easy. The defence was also easy to break BUT only that the goalkeeper is too UNREALISTIC and there's too much delay tactics.

I can do that if you want and work directly on the CPU defence. It'll be difficult, but I can improve it.

Forgive my ignorance, I still play FIFA 06 with the default gameplay, but surely what you are describing is exactly what the difficulty levels are for??

Just keep up with the CPU defence. I can see that the defence is a bit harder this time. Its only the goalkeeper make us impossible to score goal. So keep improving man

I have tightened up the defence. I've made CPU players' quicker at closing down and given much lesser space between the player with the ball and the players' around him. This makes building up an attack harder.

So that's a start! I have to keep it balanced though.

well i think it's a good gameplay, the best yet.
i have noticed some things though. when you start playing you don't know what the hell is going on. nothings working and you can't get through.
but after a while you notice little weaknesses and you begin to figure out little things.
the pc always does the same things so after a while it becomes easier to create chances and score goals. so i would ask for a little variation how the pc plays. it should'nt keep doing the same things....anyway, congartulations, i take my hat off to you

Thank you Truered99, I appreciate that. You seem to have the same feeling as me, that you too find it difficult to break the defence. Players' such as Ockham must play a certain way, although I'll admit I did break Brazil twice, very quickly with England while playing this evening, which led me to 'tweak' and tighten it all up some more! The CPU is more variant now in its play, the time in which it takes for the CPU team to alter tactics is quicker, so you won't see them do the same thing over and over in the next version. I personally am very happy with V8, I wouldn't release it otherwise. Although some find it easy (although 'easy' is probably a boasting word then the actual truth in regards to this update), I believe I can make it harder. And I think I have.

nk v8 is definitely a good update,but i still find that it is not that tough. it should have been tougher especially the 1v1 situations where a low shot beats the keeper easily in world class mode.

Well, I just played Eng (me) V Brazil (cpu) and lost 6-0 to them. They took more shots than before and hit the target more often. Plus they attacked quicker and in different ways. Seemed alright for a play-test of what could be a very early V9. It seems encouraging to build upon V8, because V8 is more 'advanced' than any other update I did. Not that a few numbers is anything special, but the balancing and different values takes a long time to get right to play a certain way, a certain 'style' and design. Soooo, I'll stick to that style in V9 and improve upon it. For example...lower the ball bounce!

-the keeper should be tuned down

and thats it, about the CPU closing down faster is alright, i can still beat them with good timing and first touch skills
the defence is getting better too, the CPU defence line is no longer staying like rock for an offside trap, and they are starting to move around a lot,

btw, the keeper's throw is weird, i've seen a keeper gave a throw to almost a half way line, im not pretty sure about this but does it happen in real life ?

and the button D, i dont know if its a cheating way or not but this button, if u press and hold it right after a CPU cross or high pass the ball, the ball will definitely fly all the way out, even keepers' goal kick, just press and hold the D key, even if the ball is flying nicely to the wing, the ball will eventually go out and give u back the possession... (:/) could this be a mistake by EA or just another part of 'gameplay' ?

i realize the CPU long balls out of bounds situation we have seen in v5 is revealing itself again. and it would be nice if you can make the CPU attack good enough to be able to break down the CPU defence :P

well nk, i playe england(me) vs Brazil(cpu) and won 2-1. it is difficult to create chances i must admit,but once a 1vs1 is created it is not tough.i must say that it is very difficult to score from crosses here in nk v8. all in all its a job well done mate.
three cheers for nk v8 its at least far better than v7 which kinda dissapointed me.

True, but with the gameplay update installed the difficulty levels don't make as much of a difference - plus if nk released different versions he could have more control of how each update plays.

Hey thanks Ash. Yeah I doubt ANYONE will be winning on V8 3,4-0! Like I posted before if you can beat Legendary 3-0, you're a FIFA 06 GOD!!! haha. Now THAT would take some effort and bloody good defending.

<b>Update news</b>
Just sorted out the bounce on the ball. Now, the ball doesn't bounce so far away at so 'fast' away from the player, say on a through ball in the air or a lob. It'll stop some of them great crosses, etc from going out so often and allow players' to jostle to keep the ball in more often too. I don't think much work needs to be done in this area of play.

I am building upon the difficulty of the CPU and the variation. Some games the CPU is tactical in terms of taking plenty of shots and in others will be much more clinical in front of goal trying to work a good chance.
