Fifa is improving a lot, but in my opinion, except sound+commentary, still behind Winnin Eleven, even those on PS1

agreed. ISS Pro Evo on a PSX emulator still beats any FIFA version hands down.

This is a sick view, come on, don't be that biased, i completely agree with (WC)Zidane, Konami are too much confident.

Well you thought wrong HaterNob. It's coming out for PS2, PSP, Xbox 360 and PC according to PESInsight.com.

It was also mentioned in the X06 Gamespot Impressions article that the 360 version will look the best of the bunch. Now that most likely means that the PC version will look like the PS2 version as has been the case in past years though nothing is certain. Which brings up the seemingly eternal issue of Konami's horrendous communication with its customers, particularly it's PC customers, and this whole demo business is just the latest example of their incompetance in this area.

Ah, I see, thanks for the info man.

Even if there was a demo, what difference would it make anyway? It won't necessarily mean that it would be a preview to the full version. The PES5 demo was nothing like the final release.

I liked the PES5 demo , the midfield battle was great ... it was hard but I thought very good game. when I got PES5 it was different from the demo ..

Exactly. Thinking of PES5 demo, I'm considering downloading this beauty again and playing it for a while... I remember how addictive it was, and how repulsive the actual game turned out to be.

They care less and less every year. The release dates slip every year and less and less progress seems to happen between each version. I remember thinking when PES3 came out how great the game would be by PES5/PES6 but to be honest, I think PES3 was more fun, had less cheating and the ML structure was better. What did we get last year, auto-sidesteps, no crowd, no weather in league/cup games, fouls every 30 seconds and the amazing "gravity ball" whereby the ball automatically attracts itself when lose to the CPU controlled player to a higher degree depending what skill level you're playing on.

Can't wait to see what bugs they've given us this year. Konami have got lazy. It may be the best soccer game in the world but they clearly have taken their foot off of the accelerator and don't seem interested in progress. How many years have we been asking for a better ML structure or at least a more customizable one where you can select the number of divisions, etc. A lot of you might think FIFA is crap but look what they did this year, a realistic handball system, dynamic weather, improved (but still behind Konami) gameplay, etc. At least EA listened to the most common complaints, Konami haven't listened to one single thing we complained about last year.

This will definitely be one to download because if they can't be bothered to release a demo then I'm not parting with my money to risk buying basically a bug-fix to PES5.

Brennan's Law: a footie game's quality and evolution is inversely related to the intensity of corporate metrics involved in production. Ask Seabass to describe the environment he and his team worked in in developing PES3 and the earlier version of the game, and the environment they work in now.

Therein lies the difference. The expectations are that all game development comapnies adopt the EA model; minute, incremental adjustments to game engines, while employing the PR sideo fthe house to mollify hard-core enthusiasts whose reactions might influence larger swaths ofthe game-buying population across the board.

This is the most cost-effective, but least creative, method of producing games; yet, if the games are still being bought up, worldwide, why challenge that? And certainly the very model of business won't be examined.

The best time is in the beginning; after that, too many other interests get in-between the production of a game about football and that outcome...too many disparate and diffuse concerns must be met.

Thus, FIFA 07 and PES6 aren't produced just - or even MAINLY - for lovers of football and lovers of gaming, but they represent a need to satisfy shareholders, affliates, licensees, bosses, employees, and a whole host of other corporate and corporatised entities. They are a compromise. That a decent game gets out of that quagmire at all, ever, is a tribute to the humanity of the developers who do understand their environment, and struggle upwards against the night.

i'm not defending konami. they have been releasing sub-par games as of late. but as far as EA catching up to them with their FIFA series - i'll believe that when i see it. For now, that's just somebody's wishful thinking.

Hi all,

Its been ages since I posted here. Anyhow my thoughts.

Yes it is a shame if we don't get a demo this year for the PC but 4 weeks or so to go, does it really make a huge difference?? I for one know that a month or two will pass quickly, we already three quarters through the year (where does the time go!). I will just wait in patience for the full version, I have already pre-ordered my version and will await it being delivered, whenever it maybe.

Sometimes I think people get carried away with Konami bashing. Yes the game is not perfect, has lots of flaws, but I think its still miles better than Fifa (I played the 07 version and its still rubbish). I see people's point about EA's customer service being better than Konami but that is like comparing Microsoft to Sun Microsystems, One is a much larger organisation and hence I would be troubled if they didn't have a better customer service than Konami.

From what I have read about PES6, it sounds promising. I will enjoy it no doubt, i might get my site back uptodate...lol (apologies to all for not doing an update all throughout PES5, just been mega busy).

Just my thoughts, :)

Kindest regards,

-Ajay-

come on guys, let's face it, i think most of us are moaning abt no demo not because we are afraid that konami wont give us a good pc version, but simply because we CAN'T WAIT TO GET OUR HANDS ON IT!!!! :mexican: :mexican: :mexican: :mexican:

The fact that there is no demo is bad enough but what really irritates me is the fact that there's absolute no information about PES6 so close before release.

Sorry to say this, but what a bunch of bullsh*t you´re saying! :nape:
Konami do not care less and less, someone or something has changed your entire football-mind (I remember you as the most dedicated PES-fan). If you played PES4 for a long time and then PES5, you will feel a big difference in the gameplay. And gameplay, thats what its all about imo, and onlineplay. I think your football-mind is way to focused on quick fun & simple arcade gaming, especially if you mean that PES3 was a greater game than PES4 & PES5. You mention small updates every year by Konami, well maybe you should take a look at FIFA 04, 05, 06, 07. The same engine, rubbish goalkeepers again and again, its fun for like 1 hour but then the game always becomes very uninspiring and boring.
And if you think that PES6 will be oh just another small update, well guess you´re very wrong there dude. The gameplay is a lot more flowing and the controls more intuitive. Much less frequent freekicks now and better keeper reactions. New onlinemodes: 8 players can play simultanious together. New added spectator-mode that lets you allow watching your friends onlinematches. PC & PS2 users will have the ability to play against each other online (I believe this is the first time ever seen in a videogame).

I suggest you do your homework first next time :nape:, and then speak afterwards.

Regards
(X-wolf fan who has lost nearly all respect for a man who made some great work for the PES-community)

-TheRush-,

how can you say anything about pes6 gameplay, if it's not out yet? Not even on ps2, is it? Much less frequent freekicks, better keepers, more flowing gameplay - i hope that's all true, but right now it sounds like some cheap marketing talk...

Btw, i also think pes3 was more fun than pes4 and pes5, so clearly not all of Wolf's post is bullsh*t. In fact, none of it is.

After reading the pe6 fanzine it's deffo not next gen graphics for the pc then, and no pes 6 demo either. I think it's wrist slashing time.
