No Sound?!

For some reason I have no sound when playing FIFA2004. No ingame sound or music. My sound card is fine, it plays windows sounds, other games sounds and music CDs played straight off the disc. I tried reinstalling it to see if my editing with Creation Centre had done some harm, but no difference. Please tell me whats wrong with my game, I want to play with LOTS OF SOUND!!
