Help me!! I downloaded the facepack from http://oplp.fifapolonia.eu/index.php?optio...id=95&Itemid=36


It made my game crash. Especially when playing with Maciej Zurawski! I tried removing the Faces with Creation Centre 07 and my game still crash. Also some generic player faces became missing too.

I used FATHBUILDER, but it gives me a "Run Time Error" at zdata_04.big.

I tried FifaMania Regenerator, but that doesn't help. It freezes at 63% at zdata_34.big.

Now I am stuck, I can install FIFA 07 again but is there any way for me to save the database files?? I made so much players and teams and I don't want to lose them all.

Please help me!!

yeh, just backup the .db files somewhere and then recopy them back in the cmn directory once you reinstall FIFA 07

fifa.db, in data/cmn; and any language.dbs that you have, found in data/cmn/fe

I wouldn't unistall/re-install, I would just copy the big and bh files off the disk and replace them in data folder. You may want to try just replacing the ones that you know are corrupt to save any fsh files that you may have added.

the polish facepatch uses all 2GF faces, I installed them to another directory and reworked every face myself to 1GF, I suggest to do the same as after years of crashes and complaining some facemakers still release their faces double textured... it' easier to talk to a mule realy.

Your zdatas aren't corrupt but contain now 2GF faces, with filemaster you can repair it easily,

1) you take a look at your zdatas one by one like you would do in windows explorer.

2) Sort the files by name, note the id number of each t21*.fsh file that is bigger than 17kb and delete it, note the ide number of each t22*.fsh file that is bigger than 43kb and delete it.

3) now delete each m228*.o file that has a number in it that you noted.

4) rebuild the fat and fsh files with file master or any other fat rebuilder.

5) Start up the game and play crash free.

Of course the above took care of the faces that crash your game by deleting them, if you do what I described in an earlier post you can use them in 1GF by importing the resized files with file master or fifafs into the zdatas.

If you start reinstalling your old zdatas from original fifa you will not only lose the faces but every adboard, kit, ball and other graphic you have installed (that's what made me furious after the 37th time of reinstalling Fifa several years ago and what made me even more furious was finding the reason was 2GF faces)

Another problem that still stays after the patch glitch is the absence of some generic player faces. Like so..

The kind of error happening with Zurawski is a data error, iow a value in one or more of his data fields is out of the boundaries for that or those field(s), for example his retirement age would be 158 or something or one of his skills superior to 100, or even something like his shoes referring to a not existing number. You will need to find the data that has errors.

Normaly you can click on continue in the Creation Master, ignore the error and correct the fields, if not you will need to do it manualy with DB Master or UniDB, but then you will need exactly to know which field to correct.

Now in your screenshot I can see Zurawski still has a double textured face (the face doesn't fit the preview box), this could provoke and generate the missing generic texture faces error ingame. When Fifa is close to run out of memory but still has just enough to not crash, it begins to skip generic face textures and you will see either pitch black (not the race, the color), snow white (idem) or transparant/invisible players. This means there are still 2GF faces present but not enough to make your game crash (generaly one or two), check your files in the zdatas again.

Once everything runs fine I strongly advise everyone, not just you, to take backups of the complete Fifa data folder, REGULARY (like every two days if you add or patch a lot) so you can always revert to a safe state if something screws up, be it the database or the graphics.

That's not Zurawskis face but Radomski. The first player on the list. Like I said, I don't know why he was affected by the patch. The patch doesn't give him a new face, and he already has a custom face by EA. So I can change his stats and everything, but how do I return his EA face back?

For the player faces, can I just delete the 2GF faces through Creation Master 07?

EDIT: I just made another discovery. Zurawski isn't the only glitched player, there are more (Portugal Team has a few). Not liking this so far..

The title bar of your CM07 screenshot reads "Mariej Zurawski" so I assumed the glitch was there. if other players like the portuguese ones have also glitches I think your database might be corrupt or at least have multiple faulty values, did you apply a database patch or any patch that changes your database maybe?

Also the only way to restore EA faces is to get them out of the original zdatas from the DVD, I myself always keep a clean install copy of Fifa on my D: disk so I go get the original data there when needed.

Remember that if you do this you will have to restore the links to all the goal keeper kits and third kits that you might have inserted with Creation Master (the graphics are still there in your zdatas but the original fifa.db doesn't have a link pointing to them, same thing goes for shoes, flags, balls and adboards for the teams that have generic ones in the original game but that you inserted custom ones for with Creation Master)

So it is always better to try repair your current fifa.db to avoid the work, do this only if you don't know where to start looking for the faulty values and how to correct them.

I replaced both the fifa.db and the eng.db and the database is still corrupt.

not possible if you restored the original database, unless the official EA patch was installed and conflicts with something else (I wouldn't know as I don't install patches that add uneditable files like the EA patch horror)

Don't give up yet. Try swapping out zdata04 (the big and bh) from the install disk and rerun fatbh builder.
