No weather at all in FIFA this year (news from FIFA Community).

Fifa 2002 had rain effects, though I do not recall if it was full weather effects (thunder etc) or not. But besides rain, what weather effects are you guys hoping for? Regardless, I understand the point regarding this game being a SIM, and how it should measure up to Big Brother Madden.
In regards to EA not having any competition in the U.S., I agree. Competition is what makes everyone better; the lack thereof does not create the necessary environment for development. Look at ESPN Football. In an attempt to compete with Madden and the rest, it is implementing First Person View Football. Now, that’s being bold! ESPN Football is reacting to their competitors.
But, we’ll see if weather effects are missing completely from FIFA 2004. Is everyone sure that weather won’t be included, it seems a bit too odd to me.
