I'm not sure how many here who knows Drillo, but I am seriously happy to see him back as our nationalmanager. We did beat Germany, a fantastic match for us. Norway wants to keep Drillo out the WC-qual, maybe we're going to SOUTH AFRICA!! :)

Starting XI
Maybe you can post more infos about Norway NT or squads of Norway NT when you fix this thread later.

Youth Team
Of course - when I got time I will post our strongest squad. I will also post more info and history - even tho' we haven't been in a Championship since 2000 in Netherlands/Belgium.

I always liked the kind of players Norway brought in. Solskjaer(one of my personal favs), Flo, Rekdal, Ronny Johnson, Henning Berg, Pedersen, Riise, Steffen Iversen to name some that spring to mind. Hopefully you'll make the next few tournaments.

Egil Olsen's side came out on top after a frenzied finale in their friendly game against Finland, with Morten Gamst Pedersen's long-range shot deep into added time winning the day.

Johansson opener
Having been confirmed as Norway's coach until the end of the FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign on Tuesday, Olsen saw his side go behind on 39 minutes as Jonatan Johansson slotted in from a Markus Heikkinen cross. The home side had only threatened from set-pieces up until that point, but equalised when a low Jon Inge Høiland ball from the right found John Arne Riise at the far post, with the AS Roma left-back prodding home.

Thrilling finale
Høiland put Norway ahead in the final minute of normal time with a shot from close range, but it seemed they would be denied victory when substitute Alexei Eremenko Jr curled a shot into the far corner two minutes later. However, Pedersen denied them at the death. Bottom of FIFA World Cup qualifying Group 9, Norway visit F.Y.R. Macedonia in their next competitive game on 6 June. Finland host Liechtenstein in Group 4 on the same day.
