If i was still a fifa lover, instead of fighting the PES fanboys, just do what i did. Go download the PES3 demo and play it for a week. It was so good i uninstalled fifa 2004... for a demo. Just try it out, because some of these PES guys are just trying to show the light to some of y'all. If you still enjoy fifa, then so be it ya kno... that's what having two different games is all about. Everyone needs to stop insulting each other tho, it's uncalled for on both sides no matter who's right and who's wrong. Let's show some class around here.

For some strange reason, when im controlling the receiver, my directional pad inverts the Y axis. Im using a Gravis Xterminator gamepad. Has anyone encountered the same problem?

otb does not sux, the problem is your game pad.

We need a new game pad which can control two players. A Game pad thats is for you hand and linked with another, designed for you foot. Then you have to train your eyes and brain, to do two thing stimulataneously (sp). Hopefully logetech will come out one for fifa 2005 ! New uber OTB control for fifa 2005, only a real footballers can do it ...

(Wow , i think i should just go out and play football with my mates.)

Dont be amazed they will do such thing becasue there is an coming xbox game that ask you to use specail huge junky game pad but that is not a scooer game , is robots fighting game.

Since i got the game i didn't really used the OTB controls, mainly because i haven't produced any good plays with it and it's a little hard controlling two players at the same time. I'll practice more on the free-practice mode.

So far i think the Fifa2002 second -player- run was more useful and easy to pull, but like I said i'll keep working on the OTB

This is incredibly annoying reading stuff like, i Cant dribble, OTB sucks. Seems that people spend much more time posting stuff here then Playing the game.

What do you guys think the Practice mode is for. The first game i played i found it nearly impossible to dribble and use OTB.

So i went into Practice and played 11-1 for a while. To get a feel how to use OTB a figure out the dribbling tricks.

OTB is akward at first, but after changing the config. of some controls and a bit of practice i find it very useful now. Of course if you dont practice you will find it useless.

Dribling is in fact NOT random and it is again possible to dribble and do tricks at speed.
The trick to it is knowing the right combo. First sprint, then when the defender is closing in on you release the sprint button and press C+Shift and any combo(right, down, left, up is 360 turn). Player will slow down marginally do the trick and then you can speed up again. This works in the game I have done it on numerous occasions.

All I have to say is PRACTICE MODE!!!

Well really it's EA's programmers that suck as they can't program your teammates to make decent runs off the ball so they make you do it instead.
Making the gamer control 2 players at once is completely ludicrous.

I agree 100% with the point made that they should program your teammates to make better runs off the ball instead of making you use OTB - this would help maintain the flow of the game better.

I use it to draw defenders out, then cancel it and i send a ball through into space were a player will hopefully run onto it...

Fifa has got worse the longer it has gone on, only reason this game keeps it's head above water, is because of us mug punters who always thought the next version would be better than the last, and go out and buy it year in year out, not no more though, PES3 has none of the fancy frills that fifa relies on to sell it, but the one thing it does have that fifa has never managed to achive in all it's years is unscripted gameplay,

yeh, and i'm as bigger mug as well for forking out, year in year out, for this fifa ****e, thinking it will be much better than the previous version, that i relised was ****e after buying it, EA should stick to what americans are good at NBA, NHL, and madden, and not con us into thinking they are working hard on producing, a good soccer game for fans worldwide,
