Tis cruel to be overfeeding a cat like that, they are meant to be agile creatures, not fat sh1ts.

Dude, there isn't an ounce of fat on it! It's a Maine Coon, they're like 1/3 bobcat so they're supposed to get twice the size of regular cats. If you look at his paws you'll see he can probably pick most cats up!

Wolf, my family has been looking to add a cat to our house hold. Just had a few questions.....How much do Maine Coons cost?? Are they rare? Temperment? Social?

Thanks in advance.;)

They're not rare in the US but I'm not so sure about other countries. They're an American breed (hence the 'Maine' part) so might be a bit expensive overseas, I guess the best bet is to check the classifieds rather than going through a breeder.

As for temperament, they are more like dogs than cats. They learn to play fetch very easily, they love to playfight with humans, will take to a leash if you train them early enough and will follow you around all day long for no reason at all. They are very loyal and tend to not be overly sociable at first with visitors, they attach themselves to one person or a group of people and that's normally enough for them. They're apparently amazingly good with kids because they are so laid back. They don't tend to hiss or get pissed off, they'll just walk away. I know some countries (and some states here even) have laws restricting them being outdoor cats because they're so big, they'd kill a lot of cats if forced to fight. Maine Coons would rather make friends than fight but if another cat pushed the issue it would probably get ripped to shreds. If you check the size of my cats arms compared to a regular cat you'll see they've very powerful - as you'll find when you playfight with them.

Oh, they have the wierdest meow you'll ever hear!!

Yep, the great ass-cleaning pose!!!

I never used to be a cat person and really I still am a dog person but Maine Coons are a big exception. It's so funny to have a cat follow you around everywhere, sit and watch you when you're in the bath and even follow you to go to the bathroom. It's like a mini-me!

Oh well! He may never learn, but, on the bright side, with bunch of hungry hyenas (us) ready to jump on his ass every time he comes up with his trademark pointless posts, maybe he'll improve his ways to some extent atleast, if not correct it altogether.

And the hunter becomes the hunted....... (H)

Lol dont continue cause it will never end...smartdic.k

Funny you should say that. I hate cats and love dogs. But my love of animals comes before my hate of cats. That's why when this cat started coming to my door on rainy, winter nights, I just couldn't leave it out. I asked around and found out it had no owner (abandoned I guess, it is old). Rest as always, is history.
