Just reading the name Kompany is getting me excited. I haven't seen him play that much, but we do really need a CB. Ben Arfa also sounds good although I also have not seen him play that much. One other name I've been hearing is Krancjar from Pompey who at times can be very good.

The most important thing for us now is to hold on to Hleb. He is probably our most important player for our passing and attacking play.
In terms of players I think we should sell: Senderos, maybe Djourou if we get Kompany, and maybe Rosicky or Eboue if we get Krancjar and or Ben Arfa.
I'd also give Denilson one more season even though he's been awful.

In addition, if Van Persie gets injured at Euro 2008 I think we should also consider selling him as we could probabally get at least 12million pounds or so.
However I would only sell him if you can be sure about getting a proven replacement. Maybe Benzema, maybe Eto'o, maybe David Villa.

We, Arsenal fans, are now entering our most frustrating time of the season, the transfer market.

sorry mate but i dont agree...... van persie was a gun beginning of season before his injury he looked like he was going to dominate the year so given time he should be bak to his best

if we do buy kranjcar or ben arfa i don't think we should sell cause we need that depth in the squad, but senderos sale if we get a CB is probably something to think about although djourou would be alright cover in case of injuries

PS im sick of seeing wenger play CB's as make shift right backs when eboue is a perfectly good right back

No club would pay serious money for Van Persie when he's injured 2/3s of the time.

Ideally we'd get rid of Eboue and thats it.

His its experience is quite valuable, Although he'd have to accept a squad player role and I think he wants to still be in the action.
I think he'd be good in spain

i think he would dominate in midfield in the spanish or italian leagues, hes has the qualities to be an effective DM in those sorts of countries

Supposedly Yaya Toure wants in at Arsenal with his brother.
That would be seemingly a great replacement for Flamini, but you never know with players coming to the Prem, although I'd still love for us to sign him.

Regarding Gilberto I still think he adds depth and experience to the squad, however if we do sign Y. Toure I think we could afford to sell him.

Cana looks like he would be more sited to the premier league, unsure about yaya but i guess atleast he would fit in at the club n i guess kolo and yaya would know eachothers game inside out which would be beneficial.

and hope we get ben arfa

The latest name I've read is Micheal Johnson from Man City.
I believe he's still a teenager which makes me think he has the ability to grow into a great defensive and attacking midfielder. From what I've seen of him he'll definitely be playing for England one day.

Samir Nasri will probably play for Arsenal next season. I've heard a 17M€ transfer for a five years contract.

Nasri is one of the best young players in France, with his friends Benzema and Ben Arfa. It would be a big lost for l'OM, but I think Arsenal is the best team for him at moment.

With the Hleb transfer, Samir would play as a playmaker, his best position. Wenger knows perfectly Nasri, he's really seduced by the player and by the man.

Just wait and see..

I hope that doesn't mean what I think it means..........:D

But it isn't evident yet that Gleb is leaving the Arsenal......just speculation derived by quotes that he thinks London is "noisy"..........

Oops, maybe I didn't use the right terms :D I think I must say "Wenger likes the player and the man's mentality"

Anyways, I guess these 2 transfers are linked... 17M€ could be the price for Hleb, so..

well if reports are true

arsenal get nasri n ben arfa in

hleb out, flamini gone

still a hole in the middle of the park

I've heard Wenger is looking for a DM in France too: Jean II Makoun, Yohann Cabaye (Lille), Blaise Matuidi, Loïc Perrin (Saint-Etienne)...

Or maybe Alberto Aquilani from AS Roma, but it will be really hard to get him.

What about Cana??

I've heard that there was a Wenger's scout in Veledrome, watching Cana in one game when he scored a goal, don't know exactly which game ?? :p

I think Cana will stay next year. He said he was proud to be our captain, and really happy in the region...

Marseille will probably lost M'Bami, so I guess Pape Diouf won't let Cana leave the team.

But if Eric Gerets want Cana to play as a DC.. Why not?

Hleb's agent confirms he's leaving Arsenal
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=538545&cc=5901

If his agent isn't lying we're in deep ****.
This year Hleb was our most important attacking player this season in my opinion. Maybe Adebayor and Fabregas were also as important, but Hleb also keeps us the ball so well so we can play at our pace.

If this deal happens we better get more than ******* teenagers to replace him.

Indeed Hleb was the ideal player for the position Wenger wanted him, and if he leaves Arsenal will have to find a great player to step up to his place, but Wenger has the ability to mold a player into what he wants...let's see, if Arsenal do get Nasri, if Wenger can make him that player...
