I prefer the complete package. Nor do you have to wait. I think it's better, even to start Career Mode, with several seasons. Whoever opts for the basic package will then have to update, and everything you've done (your saves) will be lost and useless. However, I understand that most are desperate to test this as soon as possible. But, it's an illusion, as it will be lost when the full version arrives.
Anyway, for my part, I'll leave it to install the day that it's 100% finished. Ok
Ok. I said I wasn't going to reply, but you guys man, seriously.
Right. To this point specifically. This is 100% incorrect.
With the inclusion of the Version Manager software, you do not lose anything. Your Career modes will still work, they will be untouched. As is stated in pretty much all instructions and videos you have to use it to back up your files before you install the mod and with every update. If you don't do this, then there is a chance things will not work. There is a chance some things will be changed outside of the DB like some kits, boots etc but the Career mode will still work if you use your backup. If you make your own edits to the DB, it will still work as long as you back it up. My advice is to take your time when installing and updating.
I will do a separate video explaining how to use Version Manager properly sometime after all packs are relased.
Please remember, that even though Version Manager is great for keeping all of your DB and compdata intact anything else you change is completely on you. So for example, if you update a kit and in the next update I release some updated kits that are different from yours, it is on you to ensure you keep your versions of the kits. My responsibility is to the original mod not for the changes any user tries to make.
Also, yes the BASIC pack is winning and unless something changes, it will be released first, quickly followed by the Winter transfers update (v4.1). Let me be clear. The BASIC version is far from basic. I just decided to use similar wording to FIP16. The truth is that the basic version of FIP14 has more included than the basic version of FIP16. In all honesty that mod on its own is bigger than FIP14 v3. It will be the version I hopefully get some time to play. Most people will be happy with that version alone.
Finally, know that this is not the end. I am not retiring from modding any time soon. Yes, for the last few years I have been a bit jaded and a bit 'spiky' but a few things have happened. scouser09 helped me become enthusiastic about modding again. The guy is a genius. Some of the new team members put in so much effort that I was inspired. I finally got some more help from the rest of the community too. It is enjoyable again. So I hope you like v4 when it is (finally) released and everything else that follows.
