Official Patch Slow Down Fix

Hi Guys i have P4 2.6 512 Ram, Radeon 9600 XT and it runs like a dream here is my tip, Download and install official patch, but make a back up of the original EXE when the patch is installed copy the original EXE into the PES3 folder and away you go.

Make sure the game is running on 60 hertz, and set AA to 2X and AF to 2X quality setting and i never have anything other than a silky smooth game that is a hell of a lot smoother than the PS2 version! if you wanted you can go as high a 4X AA but i dont see the difference. I think the soundcard problems are due to heavy processor usage. Another tip is to make sure all progrmas that run in the background are turned off virus, use rambooster when ram is low but prefrably play after a reboot and of course defrag your hard drive.

I must say i have not had one bit of slowdown other that when i first installed the patch with the patched EXE, i repeat change this with the original!!!

Thanks i'll try this later. i will have to reinstall the game won't i but i dont want to lose my existing saved game :(

Also how do i make sure the game is running at 60hz?? Use a frame limiter?? cos i've tried that and i didn't make any difference

I use 1024x768(higher for the res and set to the highest detail but it's too damn fast. I have a 9600XT as well.

No just use your on screen monitor information if you have one, most monitors do!! frame limiters and refresh rate are two different things dont be too concerned with frame limiters because 60hz should run great

60 hz

actually the game runs better with more HZ ( running with 70 hz now ) and with vsync off.

with vsync on and 60 HZ it shows some slowdowns occasually.

system :

athlon 2.2
ati 9500
onboard sound

running at 1280x960 , high detail

hz

you can change the hz on the monitor tab , on Advanced on Display properties.

i change them in ati control center.

vsync you can change with a program like riva tuner (although if you have an ati , you can use the control center)

You should get a mod to change the title of this thread - I for one got excited thinking that their was an official patch that fixed the slowdown.

i think the game is hardcoded to 60 frames , not 60 hz.

i dont think the game runs faster... but i am not certain.
