Ok - this is the situation. I don't have net access at home so I have FTPed the files from the net here at the office and I'll burn them to CD and take them home.

QUESTION: Please, can you tell me how to install the patch - file by file for all the non-patching gurus out there - with the files residing locally on the PC without Net access ? What file goes where ? Give us a 1 off comprehensive guide.

I'd have to agree with you all, the patch doesn't truly work, I don't know about the save replays because i haven't tried it yet, but I know u can't figure the controller, I also had to use the ctl alt delete to get out of the game. It's a pity that FIFA 2003 is better. I have been a big fan of FIFA forever. I started buying their game in '98 road to world cup 98, and I've always bought all their games since that year. I think that I might no longer be a fan for FIFa anymore because of their 2004 version, where they failed to add the Turkish league and Ukranian league. SHAME!!! And if you are protecting the game, you are phony. We should all help Konami to make the soccer games in the future.

i just cant install it i push the mother****er green button and it does nothing and yes i have the latest java vm from M$ and sun
i also have downloaded all the files separatelly but theres no way to install this crap

geez when this guys are gonna learn.

FIFA 2004 is the most crappy version of all. EA launch it even before they can finish testing.
I am now hoping Winning Eleven 7 will be a good one. If so, FIFA from EA will be out of my life forever.

So just copy the files to ur cpu and then run the patch to install the addons?

BAhh good news lovers. the patch does indeed work, yes even the controller config option. What I'm surehappened to a lot of you guys is that trying to make your gamepad work, you edited the config.dat file manually. the fifa patch won't allow any manually edited files when it tries to patch, and so what happens is it patches half a** through, and then quit on you. you get the controller onfig under options but it just freezes, b/c it didn't fully patch. What I suggest you doing is reinstall fifa and patch again, maybe saving a copy of your config.dat file just inc ase. The patch should work after that.

whoops, what i meant was saving the config.dat file just in case after the patch you want to remember how you edited the file in the first place. DO NOT leave the config.dat file in the fifa folder when you uninstall/reinstall it. You'll need a fresh install so don't try to keep any old stuff in there.

hahahaha i just download the DEVIANCE uptade patch (doesnt need internet) it just install like a regular patch.

eat that EA!!!!!!

The patch works fine on ALL versions, wether its warez or legit.

sorry mr , that's a big N3G. patch doesn't work on modified files ex: warez. if it detects any manually modified files it will say it patches but it'll only do it half way through, so u'll get the options but however it won't work. there.
