Oh My God - What a Game!!

Masters Cup - Quarter Final (Extreme)

My ML Team v Liverpool

Having been pretty much in control in the 1st half I was 1-0 up from a spectacular Killy Gonzalez diving header at the far post. In the 44th minute though, the ball had rebounded out towards my left corner flag and thinking my defender could make sure it went out for a throw I slid in - going right through the Liverpool player giving a free kick and getting my defender sent off. To make things worse, Henchoz scored from the cross put in from the free kick. Luckily in injury time Hyypia (playing for me) scored from a corner so I went in 2-1 at half time.

After a bit of a re-shuffle of my team I fully expected to have to put up with a fair bit of pressure in the 2nd half. I couldn't have been more wrong, this is how the scoring went:

62 Mins Aghahowa (assit Killy Gonzalez) 3-1
64 Mins Aghahowa (assist Beckham) 4-1
72 Mins Beckham (penalty) 5-1
73 Mins Aghahowa 6-1
76 Mins Deisler (assist Aghahowa) 7-1
85 Mins Beckham (assist Aghahowa) 8-1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The goal that made it 4-1 is quite frankly the best passing move I've ever created in 5/6 years of playing ISS/PES games

Hehe, that was something I experienced with PES2 as well, if you score a few goals in quick succession the other team will totally fall apart, no matter who they are. I lead 6-0 over Ajax (on extreme) after 32 mins having scored two goals in the opening five minutes. :p

Good one, Jonny, I wish I could play WE6 online.

I don't own a PS2 so I rarely play WE6 in Game Cafe, and play against human players. HI is way tougher than AI, I think.

I used to be crazy with WE2000 on PS1 and the best I could do was Holland 8-0 against Argentina.
But now my PS1 is dead and I have an emulator with state management functions. Now in Master League, I can beat AI teams easily with my full-power-edited-player team busting 65- 75 goals a match (10 mins length while taking up to 1 hour real-time).
And cheating this way helps me find many tips I didn't know
such as, 'making opponent's GK do a professional foul early can help you beat the AI easier while taking risk of injuries' and many types of long shot.

Once again, it's a great game. Great work, Kimono, Konami. :)
I am a fan of Winning Eleven since the first release on PS1.
