I strongly disagree with your opinions on Cristiano Ronaldo
But this was funny as hell.
I have to agree, Ronaldo was way self-individualized today on the pitch. Just one of those games for him. Happens to every player once in a while.
Some positives though.

-Solid defending the whole game didn't give an inch.
Hugo Almeida-Played well, but got unlucky with the calls when he went for a header. He got a few shots in.
The negatives:
Boa Morte-Didn't deserve a red card, but better off since I don't think Romao would gain the brain to sub him out. At least he's out of the next match.
Reff-Was a douchebag in majority to Portugal, but also gave some calls for us that shouldn't have been given.
Jose Romao-Idot, nuff' said?
Hugo Viana-Sheesh, what happened to you at Newcastle? You don't even seem the same player that lead Sporting to a title in 02', not even counting the look. Just stood and didn't care took a few stupid long shots. One of the worst today for us.
Moreira-Today he proved why he doesn't start for the NT... YET.

first of all, i dont know why this thread got so big, not like anyone i know ******* cares about this football, and i find it weird that of all the games, only this grew so large.
And zuppafly, why would i put up an argument? you said you would send him to a 2nd division team to learn how to play football, i just find that stupid. It's just that it makes me sick to see the press over-hyping someone and see so many people jumping on the bandwagon
Even in Porto there are a few players that need to learn to play football before becoming what the press has already made of them, so you can see that this is no clubistic matter!
I've seen a lot of games from Cristiano Ronaldo, and everytime he plays with the other young guys (U21 or the Olympics), he gets incredibly greedy! Do you know why? Simple, if you ever played football: you have the tendency not to pass the ball to the ones you consider worst than you, and you simply won't make a pass, carry on, and eventually loose the ball in a stupid way (happens to me a lot of times
). And that's what I see on Cristiano. He has no confidence on the team mates, and thinks he can make the whole game himself. That would be normal if you are playing with a bunch of friends, but not with the national team colegues...

And he also could've gotten a goal if the reff didn't shout an offside for that ball he gained from Viana.
I don't think Moreira did too good. Yeah our defence was bad, but he didn't have too many shots to deal with the whole game through and lets in 4.
Like I said when the squad was originally selected the defense looks the worst part of the pitch for us.
